Wow, I didn't think my thread would go this far. But yeah, it still stands. The Xbox may be a lousier system than the PS3, but at least they made an attempt to be less obvious with the kinect. I guess it's okay to steal ideas as long as you can 'improve' them.

I'm sure I am not the first to make this claim, but Sony just completelyplagiarizedthe Wii console. Way to go, Sony. You used to be a respectable company but you couldn't let that run, could you?

It really depends on what type of game your into. If you're into raw action and very little confusion, I'd say Halo. If you're more the hands-on thinking type of guy, Metroid should deliver what you need. Metroid is about 60% puzzle solving and the rest is fighting. If you've played any of the other halo games, You know that Halo is more about hands-on combat tactics. I enjoy both the Metroid and Halo series, it'd be a hard choice for me.

I know we all have one or two. Of course some might regard such an act as selling out, but I see it a different way. I've got a few classics that I want to come back on the systems of today.

Road Rash (double bass guitar in a 16 bit game...Yessss...)

Streets of rage

Earthworm Jim.

...Let's hear yours.

Castlevania: Circle of the Moon. At first it seemed to me like nothing more than a generic side scroller with little originality, but I soon realized just how much the game really had to offer.

Recently I went to Wall-Mart and Shopko to find with disgust that the great old games are still 50 bucks. (you know, the good ones that came out long ago but still peak at the price like Zelda: TP and Super Smash Bro's Brawl). I went on the top Wii games section in Gamespot and all it really did was list the same 50 dollar games that I see at Wall-mart. What I want is for you guys to tell me the great unsung heroes of the Wii console, a bonus is given for revealingcheap-o's.

---------------

The games I already own:

The Conduit

Mad World

No More Heroes

Sonic and the Secret Rings (Unfortunately)

Metroid Prime 3

Wii sports and Wii Sports resort.

---------------

Thanks for your help.

I never buy a game without first checking the reviews. The great thing about sequels is that (usually) all they can do is improve, it takes some effort to make it worse than its predecessor. I know there are some fine examples, please don't bring them up. The first game had a lot of potential, but was held back by cheap antics that were nothing more than an attempt to make it last longer. I could take the time to list all the games problems, but I didn't write a full review for nothing.

"Wow, you guys are just amazed me. The negative comments here sounded exactly like those comments back in 2000 when MS first introduced the Original Xbox. I still remember that a lot of the naysayers on the gaming forums, gaming journalists, news networks...ect all proclaimed that:

- MS is a software company and didn't know S#$* about hardware.

- Xbox would be DOA.

- Xbox would be the next DreamCast.

- Very one hated Bill Gates and nobody would buy the Xbox.

- Even Sony said they didn't care about MS making a gaming machine because it would fail hard.

Then look at what we have on these forums now. Just the same hatred comments towards Kinect again. I was wondering why some of you love playing games for fun but have a big desire to reject something that others may enjoy playing with just for fun too. You guys are so selfish that's all I can see. Oh my gosh..."

Ok, if seeing it in a different light makes me selfish, so be it. Microsoft put out a lousy piece of equipment. Very few 360 users haven't had some sort of problem with their system, it's happened to me twice. Then after everyone already owns a 360 original, the elite comes out. Then another 360 model came out, leaving the fans to once again feel like they're stuck with an inferior machine. After making money hand over fist despite a mediocre product, Microsoft just flat out rips off Nintendo.
