I have this on the DS...

What does using a friends code even do for this game? (bought it a couple years ago, but I just started to really play it)

Thanks for all of the advice. I'll keep some of those options in mind, but I'm going to try sticking with FFIII.

As an example of how little I had played the game before, I got to the point last night (for the first time) in which you can choose your jobs, lol. Seeing the lineup of Warrior, Red Mage, White Mage, Black Mage brought back a flood of old Final Fantasy memories.

I'll probably end up just buying the first one for the Wii, but I was hoping to get hooked on a portable JRPG game... something to play while I let my wife spend some time on the Wii.

Sorry to double post, but Idohave Final Fantasy III for the DS, but I've never really spent much time with it.

If I take a serious go at it, will FFIII be just as good?

The original FF hasn't been released on the DS, however if you have a DS Phat/Lite you can play Final Fantasy 1&2: Dawn of Souls for the GBA on them.

KnightSkull

I'll have to check that out. I have a 3DS, but my son has the DS lite. Thanks a ton!

Looks like I suck at researching, lol.

From what I can tell, is there no way to play the original Final Fantasy on a DS system?

I see that it is on the Virtual Console for the Wii, but I can't find any form of release for a DS.

If so, I am bummed.

Never mind... I just read the IGN review for Real Steel 2.

I'm gonna go with the second one.

I don't know which to buy, but I would prefer the better of the two. Is it okay to play Red Steel 2 before the first one?

I've heard that the controls are more spot on for the sequel with the Motion Plus, and I would hate to be let down by trying the first one, possibly losing interest in even buying the second one to try...

Yes. You can purchase anything you want from the Xbox Live even with a Silver account. Think about it: i doubt Microsoft would actually limit the possible ways of getting paid. :D

EvilSelf

Well then, that certainly makes... cents...

harharhar!!

Lol, thanks for the reply. Don't know why I didn't think of it that way.
