I'm more hyped for an RE5 remake than RE9.

Capcom will never, ever create a game as good as RE4 / RE4R again.

I still think RE7 and RE8 were vastly inferior to RE2 and even RE3. Let alone RE4.

RE2R: 4 completions

RE3R: 3 completions

RE8: 1 completion

RE7: Never bothered finishing

to be fair I never finished RE5 either. RE5 was my first RE game and my friend and I was so god damn frusted by the tank controls even in 2009 that we gave up around 70% through. But I think Capcom can remake it with RE4 combat mechanics and actually make it a 9/10 game.

Open world justdoesn't seem like the move.

My god the combat mechanics of this game are garbage. I just realised Capcom made both MHW and DD2. Probably a lot of the same individuals that made MHW made DD2. No wonder it feels like clunky rubbish lol.

I'm only 4 hrs in so things are pretty basic, but the combat feels like something I would expect out of ES6. Its slightly better than Skyrim which felt clunky and outdated back in 2011.

Elden Ring, Dark Souls 3, Bloodborne, God of War and God of War Rangarök have completely spoiled me.

I'm on my 4th or 5th run of GoW as well (I bought the PC version recently) so switching between the absolute masterpiece that is GOW to this is.... rough to say the very least.
