It's great that they are making cards that use less power, but a lappytoppy just isn't nearly as modular, and therefore limited in terms of upgradability.
Generally, it's fun to avoid reading or watching info about a game you are certain you are going to buy. Personally, I've chosen not to watch the Heavy Hitters video, but not because I resent the media blitz (or whatever is being discussed here), but because I don't want to spoil anything before I play the game I know I'm buying already. Similarly, I know I am going to eventually buy Journey, so I'm not going to read any reviews or watch any gameplay because I don't want to spoil it, and they had me at "ThatGameCompany". I guess if your job is to study and editorialize the game industry, you have to watch these things all the time for all games, so I guess that gets annoying, but as a mere consumer, I get to pick and choose what I let in. It's not something I am OCD about (like if I see a TV ad, I don't rush to change the channel) and I don't do it for all games I know I'm buying, but it's definately something I would suggest to the average Joe. Unless you are on the fence about the purchase, why not just wait until launch day?
Like this article recommends, I will buy one when a game that needs one comes out. Till then, my 580 is able to run everything I want to play on Ultra.
I thought the ending was fine. Then I saw the "Indoctrination proof (NEW)" video on youtube, and now I think the ending was brilliant. You just have to get through the looking glass, so to speak.
This reminds me of all the sexist flack that Jade Raymond got when she produced Assassin's Creed. People were making horrible drawings of her depicting sexual acts etc.. The internet is anonymous, and when people aren't accountable for their actions, they will say and do anything without concern for the emotional impact of their statements. It's as though some people don't realize that the people who make the games we enjoy are real people.
Well, the only consolation I can think of is that the PS3 was a joke of a console for the first 1.5-2 years of it's lifespan, so here's hoping Sony incrementally improves upon their handheld with important updates. For now though, I cancelled my pre-order. Realizing I could spend a bit more than I was going to shell out on a Vita to get a new gaming PC instead was the clencher.
