Dumb move not making the consoles reverse compatible. Surely one would be more inclined to stick with a brand if they could play their existing collection on the next gen console. Now that I know my existing Xbox 360 collection of games cannot be played on the Xbox One, I am seriously considering the move the PS4.
@Clownbabby Agreed. Demos are becoming a thing of the past, and game developers are trying to pull the plug on the second hand / rental market. I am not a supporter of game piracy, but at the same time I find it completely unethical that gamers have no recourse against poor quality. I know this is a very technically issue, because who is to say what defines good quality. However take Sim City for example: A game that was and still is clearly broken but yet has recorded sales of over 1.6 million copies. I wonder what net sale volume would have been if gamers where allowed to return it.
Complete and utter lip service - the bottom line is Sim City was (and still is) an unfinished game with an insufficient hardware support base – man up and admit it.
Furthermore the only reason why it has recorded sales of 1.1 million in two weeks is because, unlike other consumer products, a game cannot be returned if it does not work. It would be interesting to see what the net sales would have been if we could have returned the game for a full refund.
@MAD_AI @donaldjlamont different strokes for different folks - but I just cannot understand why anyone would waist their time playing this when there is so much better out there - even for $10.
Where the hell does Ubisoft get their market research data from? I have never met a single gamer that has supported the move to always-online. We don’t want it - stop trying to shove it down our throats.
