Get two 4870's!

yay

the rest is up to you, an Intel board that supports crossfire x would be nice too, like the x38 and x48 along with some other ones. but since you have a (virtually) unlimited budget. stick with the x38 and x48's. and then grab a wolfdale core Intel CPU that calls out to your wallet, grab 4gb of Ram that your motherboard accepts, usually 1066Mhz or 800Mhz,

and harddrive, optical drive, and all that unncessary stuff, brand doesn't matter, unless you're getting Raptor hd's then, you would have to go Western Digital

and don't forget to actually do your rebates! =)

I'd get the 4870x2 if you want to wait

or just a 4870
Single card solutions take up less space in your case and have less hot hair piling up on the bottom o' the case

the 4850 is a hot card, and the single slot cooler doesn't help...
I have one myself and you don't need to worry

Mine hits 70 a lot as well

suggest what I go for?

It's been a while since I made my last computer and sadly, I've been out of the loop with all the new products coming out.

I have about 600-800 (depending on price) to spend, and I want a computer that can run most games on high for the next year or two

Right now, I'm just lost on motherboards. I've lost track of the models haha

thanks

Played it through half-way. I spent way more time looking at the pretty mountains than killing North Koreans though.

I'm not sure whether the TC is saying this to cause controversy/ gain attention or whether he really thinks Crysis is not that great of a game. mfsa may be right. however, with a game this hyped, it's almost impossible to not feel at least a little dissappointed when the game doesn't turn out to be the messiah of all games that Crysis seemed to be. Whatever though, Crysis is a good game (so far), but it seemed to turn the Koreans on super power mode, just so Crytek could show off their awesome suit powers, which isn't really that awesome, except for the graphical effects. Bioshock for GOY! haha

But that's pretty sexy. Reminds me of the 7800. It looks kinda...corporate looking to me

=/

I think I'll be getting it's Radeon rival this Christmas though
