This game actually has it all to do, it just doesnt hold your hand. It is a free open space. explore, trade, follow the story, fight, bounty hunt, mine, steal, sell. Do it all!

@timoteo2k1 this game is liek GTA, in that you can make your own fun. If you cant make your own fun.. then you are not going to enjoy this.

Some make their own fun from trading, mining and following the story that evolves as you win.lose or trade materials.

Other make their fun from chasing and intercepting those with bounties on their heads. These take the form of one on one battles that can see you jump in and out of light speed. Or if you have been bad enough, have 3 or 4 on your tail as you fly through an asteroid field.

I get that this game does not hold your hand.. there will be games that do hold your hand, SC looks like the docking and entry will be computer controlled. Others will use cut scenes or QE.

Elite requires you to do it all.. and just the act of doing it will be your reward

Once you have your setup under control, and fly without thinking about, this game is quality.

You might argue that you shouldnt have to do that... well all games have their learning curve. If you dont want one at all, play mario kart. The reward for learning it all is epic fights, exploring and even docking your ship with skill.

I bought a £30 HOTAS, this game.. and never looked back

Its visuals are unmatched, the scale is beyond anything else.
