The bundle wasn't about making money, at least in the short-term. It was about brand awareness, as well as placing the publisher in the public eye in a positive light before the bankruptcy. Now, not only did this give them some good press before the negative press, it also put their biggest IPs in tons of gamer's hands just before the onslaught of sequels. It also got THQ on everyone's minds in a good way prior to new games from the publisher for this, and hopefully next generation.

The fact that gravity helps build muscle tissue and bone density...

less/no gravity will eventually produce muscle atrophy. Lifting 10lbs on earth is not the same as lifting 10lbs on the moon, mars, etc...

Your muscle fibers aren't going to break down as efficiently to promote strength. Ever hear the phrase "If you don't use it you lose it".

Yeah I know. I mean how do you know that in 1/3 gravity you have to do 2/3 the exercise? Maybe they're not linearly correlated.

Regardless of the math; you're still going to have to "out workout" someone on earth, and the average person in America doesn't lift anything besides a remote, I don't see it happening.

These people are going to be far from average Americans...

[QUOTE="brucewayne69"] Curious on number 8. So if it was proven that somebody was God, you wouldn't worship or follow him? Why not?brucewayne69

In the very unlikely event that happened I would feel like if I didn't before, why start?

Erm, assuming that it did happen while you were alive, then it would basically make the religious texts proven true, including Heaven and Hell.

If that stuff is proven true I would rather die and disappear entirely from existence then have anything to do with it, in Heaven or Hell. If there was a more reasonable God that didn't have the stench of human perversion all over it, and that God was proven to be real I might be interested.

[QUOTE="Zensword"][QUOTE="yellonet"]

I watched a few vids of BO2 and I really can't understand what people think is good or special about this game.
It looks extremely bland and boring so I'm sure there's something I've missed because this can't be what so many people are waiting to play, can it?
There was nothing that haven't been done a dozen times before that I could see. To me it just looks like a super generic arcade FPS, nothing at all that deserves the attention it's getting.

So, seriously, what's so special about BO2?

yellonet

What is the definiton of a generic FPS ?

I'd say an FPS that doesn't have anything unique.
Modern weapons - CS and BF among others
Different game modes - CS and BF among others
Arcade weapons handling - CS and BF among others

Where's the edge that sets this game apart from all the competitors?
I can't find it, and I'm starting to believe that the CoD series is successful only because of marketing, not content.

You are going about that wrong. You don't look at content, you look at mechanics to judge what makes a game generic. It is a video game, hence judging gameplay over anything else.

Medal of Honor is generic. Call of Duty is just good old-fashioned Call of Duty.

So which game's gonna get it then? Is there a better candidate?

Zero Escape

It's coming out this year? Didn't know.

It came out already. I beat it.
