@Regent192: There's one character that speaks almost entirely in Malay even in the English version and he sounded pretty good to me. I really loved the English cast, personally.

@Ph00p: I wouldn't say I found the start boring per se but it is a touch slow. It encouraged me to experiment more ahead of things. I'd often find I'd started trying something before I encountered the tutorial and the character would say something like "Oh you're way ahead of me" when 'introducing' me to the task.

It was probably a few hours in when things really started to unfold and I felt like I had a world full of wonder and options at my fingertips. Obviously I loved it, but my advice would be to stick with it a bit. If it's not for you, then that's just how things go sometimes, no matter how much someone else loved it.

@Hondje89: No, I've learned not to bother justifying myself like that haha. I only said anything because I wanted people to know that I'm not normally so big on this kind of thing - might help them with their purchasing choices one way or another.

Honestly, that's usually my main goal.

@mrbojangles25: It's a bit complex and there's a lot of experimentation to find things that work. It also has some very heavy themes and ideas. Also reading as there's no real voicework. I think 7 year old me would have liked it but I might have needed help. The couch style co-op means you could actually dive in and help for real though. I think it could be a very fun game to play through together with your niece if you can.

@Barighm: Hey, Author here.

I actually don't tend to like a lot of chill games. I am bored by games like Animal Crossing and though I liked something like Stardew more still not really my jam. I find the busy work in those games boring but in this one I genuinely enjoyed doing everything. It may not be for everyone but I loved it.

If I were to list my favourite games off the top of my head I'd choose things like The Witcher 3, Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines, Jet Set Radio Future, Pokemon (probs silver), Overwatch.

Not sure if this helps or is just useless info for you both but I hope it helps.

Whatever you choose to play I hope you enjoy those games as much as I did this one!
