@beuneus12: ? They give you games you probably wouldn't otherwise buy. Some are garbage, some are gems. Not sure what you were expecting to get free?

Yeah I know... that's why I said they should do an official price drop.

That's an interesting way of thinking. Well we'll see how well the xbox 1 does back at $399. I personally think it's a dumb move. And isn't the splurge season when you "splurge" like buy stuff irrationally for whatever price? Hence the term splurge?

Not sure if you're being sarcastic, but yeah. Sony and Microsoft should both keep the consoles at a lower price now that the demand for them isn't there as much as before the holidays.

Nothing wrong with dropping the price after the holidays. Makes sense. And this wasn't Sony dropping the price, whereas Microsoft officially dropped the price right before the busiest buying season. Sony fan boys laugh because it was the only way the product was going to move, which is a testament to the product Microsoft is pushing.

Dropping the price by $50 or so (whatever the US dollar is in pounds) is a normal and smart move to do AFTER the holidays... not the way Microsoft lowered the price before the holidays and is now raising it back up. It's about time for PS4 to drop slightly in price... as in an official drop, to 374.99 or so.
