Actually we were pretty early adopters. We used it when it was still PHP/FI. Also mod_perl. The original site that's archived there was powered by Lotus Notes believe it or not. -jsd- (no longer works for GameSpot)
The maximum filesize is 100MB for everybody. For free members, the maximum duration is 10 minutes. For plus, it's 30 minutes. For total access, it's 60 minutes. I'll see about getting that upload page language fixed!
I just fixed a problem with uploading videos. The progress bar was broken. If you left it sitting long enough it would in fact receive your video and process it, but I understand why a lot of people would abandon the process. The bar works again, and if for some reason it can't get the required data, it won't show the bar at all. Hopefully this will sort things out!
I can only address the video upload issue right now - basically I just discovered that the progress bar wasn't working, even though videos are being uploaded and processed. I've removed it temporarily, so go ahead and try your videos again.
