@gagula94: The argument makes no sense. Steam does not prevent the others to do deeper discounts, Valve just does not want to see lower MSRPs on the other platforms. So Epic could just hold the games at 10% off all the time and Valve could not do jack shit about it.
@The_Dragon_Born: But 60 corporations of the fortune 500 not paying any taxes and even getting handouts is not socialism right? Because it's only socialism when the poor get to attend college for free, not when billionaires get tax refunds after paying 0 in taxes.
@realrobbrose: So I guess, according to your logic, Mass Effect 3's ending was genius, because people were talking "emotionally" about it for months after seeing it, right? What a load of crap.
People are talking about GoT season 8 "emotionally", because it shits all over their favorite show.
Never like Danny and was not surprised that she went genocide mode as that was what she wanted do to in every single situation.
What I hated about this episode was that the nordlings behaved like rabid dothraki and decided that killing civilians and surrendered soldiers is good fun.
@illusivepickledonionman: Steam is the primary reason why PC gaming is as big as it is now, and while Tim Sweeney was shitting on ALL PC gamers calling them pirates and not releasing any new games on the platform, Valve was the one company fixing shit instead of running away. Now, when, thanks to Gabe, PC gaming is profitable AF, Epic goes in and tries to cash in. **** them and everyone supporting this bullshit.
@jsprunk: Take a look at Tim's twitter, he himself said that 12% cut is not viable because of all the transaction fees (which is why Epic is forcing the buyer to cover those), so he damn well knows that even while fucking over the customer, 12% is still the lowest they can go to break even, so Steam will never be able to lower their cut (30-40% of games activated on Steam are purchased on 3rd party stores and Valve gets 0% from those, so on average they are already taking below 20% AND cover all the sales costs +offer a lot more features to the gamer).
