I choose the hidden, obvious answer: Fez.

Think Kevin hit the nail on the head. I didn't play the DLC but I was actually looking forward to it. However, once it came out and I started hearing more details about it and watching some videos it definitely seems relatively lackluster and like a wasted opportunity. Shame.

This DLC would have been a great way to re-introduce Zaeed, Wrex, or even have a Batarian as a squadmate. So much potential for Omega but all of that is wasted on a mediocre corridor crawl.

Soulcalibur V is better than every single game nominated in this list.

@AxiomVerge Not sure how much this has been talked about but I like that you've decided to scale back the dialogue a bit. I just discovered this game today but I'm watching the TwitchTV footage right now and while I REALLY like what you're doing with this game I feel that a lot of the dialogue stated by Trace once the gameplay starts is basically just him re-stating what the player would already more than likely be thinking. My suggestion, which you've probably already received, would be to leave a little more to the player's imagination at least as far as dialogue is concerned... but don't get rid of ALL of it :)

I might be spoiled by modern games... but I'd really love to see this game as a full XBLA game. Microsoft needs to make this happen! I'd love to see what kind of deviously challenging achievements could be cooked up for this game.

Also, this awesome deserves to show up in my games list when people look at it! :)

@AxiomVerge I'll play this either way but this really needs to be an XBLA game. I think the success of games like FEZ prove that there is a good market for games like this.

to deny "art" and its creators the ability to be malleable is to reveal oneself as an inherently close-minded and ignorant individual.

this article still doesn't change the fact that the ending is terrible and the series deserved better.

Fighting games need to take a look at what other genres are doing with online gameplay and follow suit: particularly with what StarCraft II did with its online leagues and divisions. Having players segregated into leagues based on their skill would significantly bolster the online competitive spirit of fighting games in general and would help encourage players to continue playing and striving to get better rather than being upset that they keep getting matched with players who are just too damn good for them. I love fighting games, but I really don't understand why no one has implemented an online system like this into one yet. Marvel vs Capcom 3 is an example of a really fun game but with amazingly piss-poor online implementation. When I first tried to learn how to play I don't know how many "beginners" I got matched with in player matches that were ridiculously skilled at the game; a completely broken system that was utterly worthless at matching you with an equally skilled opponent. In this day and age there's just no excuse for fighting games not to make finding an opponent of similar skill online an utmost priority.

I'm happy at least SOMEONE gave Deus Ex: Human Revolution some recognition. By far my favourite game of 2011.
