[QUOTE="SpruceCaboose"]Lol. The PS3 needs some software to go along with that this holiday, and I don't see enough big hitters to move tons of units. I completely expect this holiday to go Wii by a large margin, then the 360 beating PS3 by a ratio of about 1.3:1 worldwide.ff7isnumbaone

no point in bragging about the 360 beating the ps3 since it had that extra year.

I agree

but the inherent flaw with the argument is that sheep are, almost by definition, consumed by sentimentality. Because of that, they don't want change, no matter how sorely needed it may be.

Do I even need to explain why this statement is so rediculous?

I think so. It's going to take a little more than a controller gimmick to convince me otherwise. I don't really see any other groups STILL excited about the new entries of franchises we were playing in 1985.

It would seem in hindsight, Xbox owners didn't really care about Gears of War very much.

It seems that the sole game that matters to, at least those in this forum, is Halo 3.

Are you concluding we don't care simply because we aren't upset that it's going pc? Honestly, who cares, I've played it forever and even grown tired of it since. Besides, exclusivity only really matters when you're actually competing, and I think we all have come to terms with the fact that 360 is not, and will not be able to, compete with pc.

No, what I'm concluding is that in hindsight, Gears of War wasn't as amazing of a game as Xbox owners hyped it to be. Not the "reason" to get the system, if you will.

You saying that you've grown tired of it only supports it. A truly great game doesn't just get boring after only under a year of playing.

Ah, well in that case, I will have to continue to disagree.

Gears is, and was, a viable reason for getting into 360. Much like Mario couldn't be the only Ninty game you own, neither could Gears...but it is a good reason to begin your ownership. It's incredible.

You can become tired of anything. I didn't say I'll never play it again, but right now, it's too soon since coming off a months-long binge. Next year, I'll probably pick it up again.

Why would they even need to make a PSP2?

There's not much you can improve on the PSP and still have it be considered a handheld gaming device. That is, unless they decide to remove some features...

Soulja_West

Why make a PSP2 you say? Maybe because the PSP did well. Theres alot of things they can do to improve the PSP. Why ask such a crazy question?

Beyond adding a second analog, there isn't much more they can do than the slim. Of course better graphics could come with newer tech eventually, but strictly in terms of design, features, or philosphy, there really isn't much further to go.

They'll think of something and adding dual analog on the next PSP will make FPS better. They could also make better triggers for the PSP. How about motion sensing and touch screen. Yeah I know the DS has it but its not like nintendo invented touch screen but I'm pretty sure the PSP2 will be different from the PSP.

I hope they don't go the touch screen way. I really, reallydon't like it.

I would hope that Sony does not go the way of the DS next gen. Although it's expensive, and maybe not as good a handheld gaming machine, the PSP is pretty incredible when you take a good look at it. I like that sort of thing.

[QUOTE="Ork_Hero"]It looks boring because you aren't playing it. Generally watching someone playing an RPG your gonna be bored, because your not interacting, your only watching. While the person who is playing is concerned with a load of stuff, in the RPG world as I call it >.>. Just wait until you play itNathan_Drake

Not true at all. I could look at a Halo 3 game video or Killzone 2 E3 vid and get pumped up cause it looks freaking crazy! Get's the blood pumping a bit faster. I can look at FF13's trailer from E3 06 and just go bonkers as the FF fanboy in me starts screaming out for some next-gen FF gaming. Mass Effect just looks boring.

You didn't respond to his quote. He said RPG, so your halo and killzone responses are out. Then, you said FF TRAILER which is really in no way the same as watching the game being played.

At any rate, just give it up. If you think it's boring, sweet, but you're going to have a hard time convincing anyone that 3rd person combat mixed with possibly the most compelling and massive story available on consoles is boring.

Then I'll revert back to the hype building in me when I saw some Japanese FFXII footage when I couldn't play the game in english just yet. RPG, shooter, it's still answering the question.

Alright, that's cool. Some of us are over FF though, and we'd say the same thing about that played out series.
