This is the best version of Risk available, far better than the "New PC Versions" They should use this as a template.

By far this is the best version of Risk. It has the original map, which is good for a quick game. But more importantly it has an expanded map with more territories within each continent and new trade routes that can be activated by placing a fort on a state that has a trade route anchor symbol on it.
for instance a trade route opens from Madagascar to india allowing for attacks by sea using the new trade route same goes for Australia to Argentina, giving South America and Australia a few more points of entry to defend and attack.

This is a much better version of the game then the one they are currently releasing for PC and for the Consoles. I like the alternate version of the game with the capitals and forts and the alternate maps where they focus on a small area of the World like The Middle East, Asia or South America Etc... instead of the regular world map. Also the addition of Rebel Soldiers makes things much more interesting as well.

They should re-release an updated version of this game for the new consoles and or PC instead of the crappy PC version they are pushing now which is only a copy of the original board game and doesn't have all the expanded sets that the Playstation Version had years ago. Don't get me wrong I like playing Risk on the PC version but it's pales in comparison to the version released for the Play Station Years ago.

They did a great job rethinking the game and now years later Hasbro takes a ton of steps backwards and releases an inferior product. My question is why would you do that?

All it really needs for improvement are a few more maps, More Missions, Better graphics and a few new movie sequences that more accurately portray what would have happened in the battle according to where your attacking from, with how many units and what you are attacking IE attacking from Sea, attacking a fort or Capital City etc... (Rather than just some random movies they kept repeating)
