What are you playing this weekend, SW?

I will be returning to Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth. I stopped playing when FF7 Rebirth came out and then ended up playing Stellar Blade after that. Now that I'm done with both, time to finish it! About 50 hours in, but I also did a lot of side stuff. Hoping to wrap it up soon. What about you, SW? What are you playing this weekend?

I won't have much time to spend on gaming this weekend, but perhaps I'll play something light like Bejeweled 3.

I am going to try (keyword there) and start ME Andromeda this weekend.

Would like to hop back into Starfield and check out the big update, check out the new season in Diablo IV, and continue playing through Eiyuden Chronicle.

Brotato, The Surge, and hopefully finish Rise of Ronin. Rise of Ronin is a good game, but the fcker won't end. Dear devs, not every game need to be 100+ hours long!

@SolidGame_basic: Well I've finished every other ME game to 100% and got all the achievements (had to finish ME 6 times for that, long story) so I'm a fan of the series, however I haven't played a game in the series since the last dlc came out for 3, which would be like a decade or so ago.

I didn't buy the remastered collection as its a waste of money.

So my fear is that I'm past the series now and I've heard some bad things about Andromeda, so who knows how this will go, I could love it or I could hate it. It's probably why I've been holding off on playing it.

@last_lap: The only thing I can tell you about Andromeda is the gameplay is fastly superior to the ME trilogy but the story is poor but since you aren't big on story or cinematic stuff, you shouldn't have any problems playing Andromeda.

The hate Andromeda got was overblown IMO.

Might play Rebirth since it is already installed or something on GamePass.

This weekend, I'll be almost done with Stellar Blade so I'll be finishing up with that and I just purchase Ghost of Tsushima PC version so that's getting some gameplay time for me. I also reinstalled Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy as I've been meaning to replay it since its been 2yrs passed.

@davillain: So as long as the gunplay is there from the previous games, visiting different planets etc I'm good, and yes the story doesn't matter because even though I've 100% the first 3 games don't ask me about the story because I couldn't tell you lol.

Going to try finishing up Ghost of Tsushima before I get into Rebirth.

started jedi survivor on gamepass last night. it sure is pretty.

there's a forced walking section right at the start but it's bearable because 1. it's the intro, 2. it's over quickly 3. makes contextual sense as you're in handcuffs and 4. quickly flits to you unshackled and straight into combat, which is nicely done.

feels like a more matured version of fallen order's formula. got the same cinematic presentation and climbing / platforming style of uncharted just this time of a higher standard than the first game, and mixed with basic lock on, dodge, parry type combat which in very simplistic terms vaguely resembles souls games, but not really

Was playing Tomb Raider but there is that much of it getting burnt out.

Just goes to show how much value was in it.

Wanna dip into abit of the old Duke3D or Blood, do a chapter or something. Duke3D has a shit ton of expansions.

Ghost of Tsushima PC

The last time I played Banjo Kazooie was maybe twelve years ago. At the time, I did not have enough puzzle pieces to open the final door after the trivia/time attack board game and gave up. This time, I opened the final door with one jigsaw to spare. So, because I have not actually played the final boss since I was a young boy, I forgot about the Jinjo statue that can't be fed with the blue eggs after you die or Game Over (or whatever causes the glitch). Will of course do it again, at another time, but pretty disappointing after excitement. Like the change in those faces in the corner, almost.

I've played some Sleeping Dogs and Soldier of Fortune today, probably play more of those tomorrow. I've been wanting to play some retro shooters I missed out on and Soldier of Fortune has been pretty good.

Been playing sifu... Wonderful game. Just enough gameplay refinement to feel fresh.

The gameplay is vastly superior for the main character, yes... You have the flexibility to create your own super bad ass soldier, and the gameplay set is very close to the feeling of the mass effect 3 multi-player which was frantic and very snappy/satisfying. Where Shepard feels a little more lumbering, Rider feels more agile.

What they missed though by making you a super soldier is the need to rely heavily on the skills of your crew... To me, that's where Andromeda stops being mass effect. Squad selection was an element of the trilogy that carried weight because of building complimenting skills and abilities in battle was a key to victory.... And really the only way to win on insanity difficulty. This was also for me how I built connections with MEs cast of amazing characters.

I think if they made Andromeda a new RPG and titled it something else... The game could've been just glazed over as mediocre. That it stripped so much of what made the trilogy great is where Andromeda receives its venom. Plus, I mean... They put BioWare Montreal on it. They built the multi-player for me3 which again.... Amazing.... But someone thought it wise to take one of the biggest ip's in the entire medium and hand it to one of their support studios rather than a big dog?

Mass Effect is easily one of the most mismanaged ip's in history. Three bangers.... A widely rejected spinoff and...... Silence for like seven years... Lol

Actually.... Mass effect 4 would be a great game to show for these upcoming game presentations.

Been (re)watching boomer westerns, so RDR2. I play it on/off throughout however long the campaign takes. 10 years from now, games are still not gonna be able to touch its open world. It's also the last soulful game we're ever gonna get from Rockstar, so I'm cherishing this one.

Beat Hi-Fi Rush yesterday and have been putting a bit of time into Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth. They made a lot of great improvements to the turn based battle system. Playing as Kiryu has been great and I just unlocked Kiryu’s ability where you can brawl freely for a limited amount of time @Renegade_Fury Also just unlocked a Team attack special that kind of reminded me of Persona lol.

I’m going to start KOTOR tomorrow. I really hope I enjoy it as much as people say it’s good.

I would like to actually finish a game I have in my steam library, rather than purchase or start a new game I already own. My Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened is one I've been itching to play, since I'm a fan of Frogware games. :) But, as stated, I really need to finish a game. If I actually sit down and enjoy some gaming, rather than socializing, I really need to finish Dragons Dogma 2. I've been at the final boss since April 17th...

Will continue FF16, such an under appreciated gem imo! If it has released in any other year that 2023 ( best year in gaming possibly) it would have been a serious GOTY contender!
