Is there any videogame with water physics better than Wave Race 64? And its a game released in 1996

Is there any videogame with water physics better than Wave Race 64?

This gameplay here of a videogame released in 1996 (for nintendo 64 platform) is impressive.

Do you know other games with aquatic physics as good or even better so I can play?

Waverace Bluestorm, maybe. Otherwise no.

AC Black Flag water was pretty great

Crysis 1 had pretty great water.

Sea of Thieves's good.

No doubt this is the best by far right now.

Not gonna claim "best water ever" but it's definitely the best I've ever seen. And yeah, better than Waverace on the N64. Not sure what's so impressive about Waverace's water. That it has waves?

+1 for sea of thieves. The whole day/night/weather system is pretty stunning.

Super Mario Sunshine springs to mind.

GTA V has a full simulation of the ocean too.

Then there are games with tesselation on the water.
