damn, Paul Tassi summed it up perfectly.. 🤣😅😂

PC gamers are going to jump ship for the one or two games exclusively on PS5. Everyone knows this.🤭

OP has a Trump pic in their sig.

Its a tweet from IGN

Its referencing a video game

It’s more video game related than 95% of this thread

The Switch is a console/handheld hybrid

a console/hybrid is also a mobile device..

It’s also a console. Nintendo did put a dock and a HDMI cable in the box…

@Antwan3K: Your response reminded me of this tweet poking fun of folks explaining away Switch success but dismissing the PS strategy.

are you implying you don't know the fundamental difference between a mobile device and a gaming PC?..

also, are you also implying that you don't know the difference between an exclusive and a timed exclusive?..

The Switch is a console/handheld hybrid

So, you are saying that Xbox woes are because they have their games on PC.🤷🏽‍♂️

No. 🤷🏾‍♂️

You are literally using Xbox as an example as to why you don't place games on PC day and date but you are not saying it is the cause of Xbox woes?

I said it’s not helping the situation. PC isn’t gonna bring Xbox out of the mud. I listed the reasons for the woes. Not sure why you didn’t read them

Are you saying that Xbox woes is because they have their games on PC?🤔

Oh no. Thats not what I’m saying at all.

Can you explain the following then?

And I know what you’re thinking, “How big of an impact could that possibly have on their hardware business?” Look at the Era and Twitter polls on this very topic. Look at the Xbox hardware woes and their need to put 1st party games on PlayStation. Look at 3rd party developers discussion skipping Xbox because of poor software sales.

The Era and Twitter polls I’ve posted in a few different threads show either a) folks willing to dump PS consoles if games go to PC day 1 or b) folks willing to purchase a PS console to play a big title instead of waiting for the PC release.

Then when you shrink the base of consumers in the company specific storefront, new revenue streams like exclusives going 3rd party are necessary just to stay even. Xbox has been floating in the low single digit growth numbers yoy, if anything for some time now. (We won’t be able to compare the most recent numbers until we see Xbox+ ABK next fy) This is with opening their software up to 100+ million new customers… Customers that didn’t buy an Xbox, went to Steam instead of the Xbox app, and now customers that bought the games on PlayStation or Switch.
