Since Gamespot are haters on most games I think you should get an actual review of how this game is. Now I played.... a few of the earlier armored core games and found them to be quite a enjoyable experience they were some of the best mech games that you could get and probably still are. They allowed you hundreds of customizable features including heads, cores, legs, arms, weapons, boosters, etc. This is probably what drew me into the game since if you can customize a ton of stuff you already got my attention. As for Last Raven the customization features are all there allowing many options you can change the mech color, tune individual components, and name your mech and your pilot among other features. The Vs. mode can be a fun way to test your skills against the CPU's AI allowing you to Vs. three CPU controlled opponents at a time on over 20 stages. Or you can challenge a friend on a team, Vs. each other, Or go free for all against the CPU. The story mode although in itself is somewhat dull, or should I say a lot of reading or being read to THATS NOT THE POINT.

So what is the point of all Armored Core games essentially? Well you build, customize, and destroy! And that is exactly what you do in Story Mode now some people may be saying "ALRIGHT LETS DO IT!", but its not quite as easy as it sounds the AI in this game is a freaking monster. You may be thinking that your mech is hot **** until you go into battle only to have you ass handed to you countless times. I can assure you while this may be mech error, more often it is the pilots fault. This game takes quite some getting used for newbies and even some Veterans have complained at the difficulty, but for those who stick it through I am sure you will have an enjoyable experience.

DON'T LET THE DIFFICULTY DRIVE YOU AWAY AND HAVE FUN!
