Max Payne 2 arrives on Xbox

Rockstar Games has today announced that the Xbox version of Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne has shipped to stores across North America. The cinematic action game was released for the PC last month and will be available for the PlayStation 2 on December 3.

"From the film noir storytelling to the stunning visuals to lightning fast gameplay, Max Payne 2 is a feast of cinematic gaming action," said Sam Houser, president of Rockstar Games. "We owe a great deal to Remedy Entertainment and Rockstar Vienna as they have outdone themselves in bringing this unique experience to the Xbox and PlayStation 2. The results have exceeded even our high expectations."

Max Payne 2 will see players reprising the titular role of a hard-boiled New York cop who, this time around, has fallen for a beautiful murder suspect named Mona Sax. For more information, check out our previous coverage of the game.
