In the tiniest of amounts it can be ok, but nobody likes a ManWhore.

I thought that went out with the '70s. Unfortunately not though I guess. Men shouldn't smell like anything, and if they insist on having an aroma, it should be of fabric softener.

I would say it has nothing to do with being manly or not but more with just smelling nice and some would even say professional. Even if you do clean yourself and wear deodorant that only clears you for smelling like BO. The hustle and bustle of daily life can still leave you smelling like other things. Just being outside on a nice day leaves a certain smell on you. Cologne is a good way to control that. I personally dont use it but thats because its too expensive for me at this point.

It voted not manly but to each their own.

Seems to me the cologne industy is nothing but a scam to get men to buy their products.

As long as you're clean and you don't stink, why bother with anything else.

It's manly. Though I find it unfair that girls can bathe in their perfume and society is okay with it but if a man puts on an extra spray of cologne they condemn him.

Its only manly if its not too much, and depends on how you put it on. 2 sprays on your neck then one on your wrists and rub together.

I wear Fierce and Armani Mania. Both because my lady loves the smell. So, in my case, it sure is manly.

Not quite. If someone wants to smell pretty, go for it but personally, I think its effeminate and off putting but that's just me.

Now a woman who smells nice, that's something else.

Hell yeah... I have a basic Addida's Sport for when I'm out... and when I'm all dressed up there's Dior Homme Sport. Don't buy cologne if you're going to get that schitt that smells like axe body spray.

Chicks that I've seen and been with dig it, so gonna go with manly. Just buy something that smells nice for the rest of us guys. When I walk into a club and smell that axey/reallyexpensivebutsmellslikesh1t cologne smell, it can be overpowering.

I have something like 6 different colognes for different occasions/different time of day/different seasons. I don't care if it's manly or not but every time i go to school or walk into work i'm berated by women smelling my chest and compliments like "Oh you smell so sexy".

Every now and then I'll pass by another guy who I think has a nice smelling cologne on, so one day I went to Macy's to find something similar. I tested out every single cologne they had and I still couldn't find even one that resembled the ones I smell on other people.

I ended up getting Calvin Klein Intense Euphoria, which is nice, but still not what I was looking for.

I'm wondering if maybe it wasn't cologne at all, but aftershave. Unfortunately, I don't wear aftershave.

It's been shown that women love the smell of a mans sweat, so the question is...why would you wear cologne?

Not in real life

Ask a woman.

Seriously.

Sue Woods2-13-2007 @ 6:31AM

And I thought that I was the only woman in the world that liked the smell of a little bit of a man's persperation.

girrl2-14-2007 @ 2:44PM

OMG... that is soooo true... My hubby was a bit sweaty this morning ad I was aroused and repelled at the same time

Jennifer2-13-2007 @ 9:00AM

There is nothing sexier than a man dripping with sweat. It makes you just wanna......ya know.

Hattie2-13-2007 @ 8:31AM

Absolutely true. Thing is, it isn't actually the sweat that gets me going, it's the natural musk that gets released caused by sweating. Sweat itself just smells hideous but man musk is rather nice.

terri2-14-2007 @ 7:52AM

After 17 yrs of marriage, there is nothing that smells better than my husbands neck after he's been working in the sun.

Ohmah2-13-2007 @ 9:59PM

there's this guy at work ... his sweat drives me wild ... unexpected, curious ... he is stinky, musky after working outdoors. Nice fantasy.

And so on...

Smell means a lot. I'm more attracted to women that smell nice than to those that smell or have no scent at all. I'd imagine it works similarly in reverse.

From my experience, the most important part is to get sweaty doing something for them. "Hey, your grass is getting high. Want me to take care of that for you?"

Get it done, come in for a glass of water, and hover around her. :D
