It's kinda depressing some people watching Dragonball Heroes think it's part of the series and not some dumb promotional thing.

Started watching the Anime: Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. Nezuko is clearly the highlights of the show, the animation quality looks great. I wasn't sure if I was going to enjoy this anime, glad I was able to stick around. Might do a Nezuko avi/sig in the future.
I recently watched Kimetsu no Yaiba and I love it.
Same here.
I forgot how good the Saiyan Saga was, way better than Cell. The condensed Kai version is good for a rewatch, but the filler stuff actually did add to it.
Main-side aside from the cleaned up visuals and re-dub is Christopher Sabat.
Dragonball Kai totally messes up Kikuchi's score, also cuts alot of stuff out of the scene making it closer to manga but feel far less scale. Aside from improved dialogue this version blows.
It's too clean, soft and oversaturated as well, really looks like shit in comparison. They went down the Goerge Lucas route of "shit no one asked for".
They should have just kept this form of Buu and not bothered with all the other shit.
Personally I think that's where the ending of the Buu Saga is brilliant, instead of a super duper pooper power character Mr.Satan the dunce comic relief ends up literally saving day and doing heroic shit "subverting expections" it like Rian Johnson, but good.
Middle still sucks ass even in the cut-down Kai version, all the going inside Buu, Vegito stuff. There was wasn't really a point to Mystic Gohan, just a massive waste of time.
Although rewatching it Gotenks and how dumb the fight was taking the piss out of all "named movies" and trying to be "dramatic" was entertaining.

This was such a bizarre story. The guy (who has mental health issues and therefor won't face the death penalty) sent in a script to the studio ,which he claimed they plagiarised. However, upon examination, this is apparently not the case.
I'm disappointed by Japan's 4K UHD releases. Castle of Cagliostro has no grain. It looks really smooth, like wax. Ghost in the Shell isn't as bad with the digital noise reduction, but isn't good either. It still looks kind of too smooth. At this point, I'm more worried than excited for next year's Akira release. The Little Mermaid and Aladdin were treated much better than this. What gives? Does Japan just not give a shit or has all the digital animation tricked them into thinking grain and detail are bad?
Those early 90's Guyver dubs are comically bad, good we can switch to the Japanese original now.
Soundtrack is boss, animation so-so.

If he can't get the death penalty, then the disgusting sicko should at least be locked behind bars for life.

How did they remaster it? Was it just digital noise reduction of film footage, or did they digitally re-animate from the original animation cels?

They'd have to be off their tits to let him out again. Presumably Japan has it's own equivalent of Broadmoor.

Film footage. Don't know if it's the original film. I've never even heard of anyone digitally reanimating anything, except the first eleven seasons of South Park on Blu-ray.
Good shit.

Currently watching:
Seishun Buta Yaro wa Bunny Girl Senpai no Yume wo Minai (Teenage Pig Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai)
One of the most misleading titles ever. A classic case of "don't judge a book by its cover" (or title). Despite what the title and cover might suggest, it's not a pervy fanservice anime at all, but it's a legit great anime. At least so far, after watching the first half of the show.
The title initially doesn't make much sense in relation to what the show is actually about. But the title sounds somewhat similar to Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep, the novel which Blade Runner was based on. I think that's what the title might actually be referencing.

I've been reading the Dragonball Super manga, its pretty good. Currently in the Moro arc. The Z fighters, even Yamcha and Chiautzo are fighting, and the big bad has arrived to Earth. And in the same old fashion, Goku and Vegete are still not there and will make their grand entrance soon
The most recent dragonball super heroes episode made no sense lol. The last episode showed the arc ending and everyone celebrating then next thing you know Trunks is fighting someone completely new and the other guys are nowhere to be seen except for Goku/Vegeta

Monster Musume no Oishasan:
In the town of Lindworm where monsters and humans coexist, Dr. Glenn runs an exemplary medical clinic for monster girls with his lamia assistant, Sapphee. Whether receiving a marriage proposal by a centaur injured in battle, palpating the injury of a mermaid, or suturing the delicate wounds of a flesh golem, Dr. Glenn performs his job with grace and confidence. But when an unsavory character seeks to steal a harpy egg, how will the unflappable Dr. Glenn respond...?
I'd be fine with run-of-the-mill monster girls. The fact that it looks well designed and has an interesting premise is just icing on the cake.
Hey guys, I used to be very interested in anime as a pre-teen/teen, but kind of got out of it as I grew up, now with all this time on my hands I have watched some old favs like InuYasha, and Dragon Ball Z. I am looking for suggestions on some new anime to watch that might appeal to me. Please post some suggestions. I am interested by the gundam series and death note, anything that isn't campy/cheesy or geared to younger kids. Thanks in advance!
I have been a huge fan of anime since I was a child I am now 31 years old and still loving it. I like the classics like DB,DBZ and even the newer Dragon Ball Super. I used to also watch Sailor Moon and a few Gundam shows like G Gundam and Gundam Wing and I even enjoyed ronin warriors. I even liked anime demon based animes like inuyasha and yuyu hakasho. I now like to watch newer animes and see which ones deserve a second season or more.
I currently even like the bookworm Anime series and I like all of the railgun and the off branch railgun animes. Even the index animes.
I really try to watch several different anime I try to branch out there with my animes.
I just got into Gundam, and jeez I have no idea where to begin. I didn't realize it is such a massive franchise. I am on episode 3 of Gundam UC, and I dont really know what is going on between the different sides, zeon/federation etc. Is there anyone that can explain it to me or point me where to find out the background info so I can follow along easier. I tried wikipedia's plot synopsis but it didnt go into much detail.
I finished Gundam Unicorn, have now started the original series from 1979 to learn more about the story. Safe to say I am hooked, the plot and message behind the show is very intriguing. I am even looking into building a gunpla model soon (which really test my patience)
@ratchetclank92:
I would recommend watching the following OG Gundam anime (Universal Century timeline) in release order:
The chronological order would go like this in the Universal Century (UC) timeline:
While you could alternatively watch in chronological order, I would rather recommend watching in release order. Largely due to the fact that Zeta Gundam is absolutely crucial to fully understanding the rest of the UC Gundam series. Zeta Gundam, which is widely regarded as the best TV series in the UC Gundam timeline, pretty much set the tone for the rest of the Gundam franchise. Much like how MGS2 set the tone for the rest of the Metal Gear Solid series, and is crucial to understanding what happens in the Big Boss prequels (MGS3, Portable Ops, Peace Walker, MGS5).
If I had to rank my favourites among the OG Gundam anime, from the ones I've watched, they would be:
I haven't watched The 08th MS Team, but I've heard that it's really good.
@Jag85:
Thanks for the suggestions! I am currently on episode 10 of the orgiinal 1979 series, but will watch the compilation movie tonight. Anyone here have experience building gundam models? I am looking to order one online to try my hand at soon.
@ratchetclank92:
That's how I watched it originally, by watching the MSG compilation movies. They do a good job of summarizing the TV series, without skipping or changing the important parts. After watching the MSG compilation movies, I moved on to the Zeta Gundam TV series.
It's worth noting there are Zeta compilation movies available, but it's best to avoid those. The Zeta movies made a huge change to the story (kind of like what Final Fantasy VII Remake has done more recently) and are non-canon in the UC timeline, so it's best to stick to the Zeta TV series.
I'd talk about Castlevania and how awesome it is. But I guess it is made in the West. Sure looks anime-y.
@top_lel: Morality. The one that caught me off guard was outbreak company. Watched gate so wasn't expecting the twist.
Clever plot. Otome Game. Is shaping up to be quite the disaster.
