Lulz ikr, but course blowing $300-400 for sony/canon bridge cam will setback the tc for the light show!

Still beats those people with pimped out cars worth 6 digits but record with a nokia 3310 sideways.

It all comes down to budget, but I would personally recommend the AKG K701 or K702 (same headphone as K701, only a different colour and has a detatchable cable). They usually go for close to $250.

A headphone amplifier and DAC would also be recommended (something like an Audio-gd NFB-12 or Zero DAC ~$150-$200).

While I wouldn't find them ideal, considering you already own them it should suffice. Still if you're looking for improvements you may consider investing in a pair of quality open back headphones. The only reason you may not want open back is if you plan on using them out of the house (require sound isolation) or are a serious basshead. If you want detail and clarity in your media a good pair can make a world of a difference.

Please teach me sifu I can never wrap my head around liking these phones (k701) gladly is my siblings and not mines. I think they are sonically too mature for my borderline basshead ears. Perhaps the sound is too true and neutral for me. What genre or artists do you recommend to change my outlook?

@ tc, the onkyos htib are a sick bunch for home theatre stuff, that I must admit from hearing them long ago at my relatives.

XD well I try to be as nerdy as possible apparently. I am a computer technician, I also like star trek, anime, make StarShip models and paint figures, make circuit boards @__@ and game a lot.

The lights are a bit much, for me. And all the tiny screens look like screens for the sake of screens...C_Rule

Nono, I use every single one. Having big monitors would mean hiding the back shelf behind the monitors. Video,Music/Chats, PC stats and other th ings go on the top monitors.

The lights can also be static, a color of your choice, dimmed or brightened :3

If you can't show off what you made, then no one would show off anything, no one would be bothered to make anything artistic. The Gray youtube channels come to mind... and I disapprove of your definition of hardcore gamer, which looks like money spending based on just owning every console. a hardcore gamer consists of someone who challenges themselves in games, in multiple genres, and is not afraid to take on the toughest things the game can offer. This doesn't mean they always play super hard games, it just means they have a tendency to do so.

Well I like to get expensive computer parts and put them inside my cereal box cases to save money. Id recommend going with a lucky charms cereal box, seems to last longer and provide better cable management.

It really makes things easier, I find one monitor severely limiting. Some people will say "I'll just buy a giant monitor" well that is very costly, and it doesn't need to be.

I'm thinking about adding more lights, but where would the best place be you think?
