Once I remembered I can use my ROG Ally since it has Gamepass I'm passing on buying the game. I've had this game penciled in as my one game purchase this month (I had too many last month.. lol), but what's the point when I can already play it?
Either way I have 2 or 3 games coming next month I'd like to get. The game looks pretty good and 7 and 8s doesn't mean it's bad, this is their first try with this IP so it might need some time to cook. Hopefully it sells well enough to get a sequel even though this one was kickstarted.
Really enjoyed the Suikoden games, particularly 2 and 5, so was very interested in this game. Will definitely be checking it out on the XSX via Game Pass. Got it all preloaded and ready to go.
I pre ordered (backed) this game too... dang it I am still stuck at Chadley's brutal challenges in FF7 Rebirth and still havent gone around to play Unicorn Overlord, Ronin and now this added to backlog lmao 😂😅
Only needs to clear chadley's challenge for the platinum trophy but I dont think I can its just too hard for me. Gonna keep on trying if I dont gain any improvements by end of the week I will move on.
I was a backer on this game. I played through 1-5 and used to be a megafan. My gaming tastes have changed a bit but I thought this game was a worthy cause.
No. Just "another one of those" to me. There's a million of them, and they all look the same. This one seems to have two different artstyles at the same time, which looks stupid.
Wow, game critics are stupid. What they criticize here is the hallmark of the Suikoden series. its like they haven't been around.
Read some reviews and I agree with assessments. Some of the game designs should been updated for modern times like how random encounter is handled. Its very outdated atleast give options to turn it off or change the rate of encounters. Most of the complaints tho is regarding story which I agree as well. I love Suikoden V its one of my best game ever I like it more than Suikoden 2 but the game starts painfully slow (with shit encounter rate) and Eiyuden Chronicles unfortunately falls into the same traps in building its world lore.

Reminds me of several well received games and some of these games never pick up.
