Avoiding the obvious 🤭
@Pedro: It’s not a goalpost move. It was a clarification. You know what I mean…
By adding additional criteria, you are moving the goalpost.🙃 Feel free to continue this nonsense.
even beyond that, it doesn't matter.. Xbox isn't playing the console war anymore.. they put their games on PC so that they can also sell on PC.. if an Xbox game sells well on PC, that's a good thing for Xbox.. 🤷♂️
So y'all can add nuance but I cant?
@Antwan3K: It happens when a person is so obsessed with "winning" that the lose all sense of logical discussion...that sounds like one of the factions 🙃
Y'all are a trip. But I'm glad you have each other, because without one or the other this board wouldn't be the same. Who would defend XBox and back the other one up when necessary?
@ghostofgolden: and i'm glad this forum has clowns like you.. there wouldn't be anything to "defend" if you didn't constantly twist yourself in a pretzel with mental gymnastics in order portray any, and all, Xbox news as bad news..
I mean a game like Starfield being #1 top seller for the month, debuting at #7 top seller for the year, and acheiving over 10 million players in less than three weeks would just simply be "good news" without your nonsense.. kinda boring i guess 🤷♂️
but thanks to your efforts, we at least have someone to laugh at.. i mean it cost you an account and a ton of dignity but we really appreciate your sacrifices.. 🤣🤡

You know you don't have to defend Xbox, right? Do you see me defending PlayStation? Nope. Nintendo? Sometimes. PC? What is there to defend?
I find entertainment in engaging with brand fanatics. Especially ones that spend their free time acting as freelance marketing/PR. Its fascinating to me...

i find entertainment is calling out complete fanboy nonsense.. which, ironically, results in me "defending" Xbox from your particular brand of BS more-so than anyone else here.. 🤷♂️
This game has been such a disaster. All you see people create content about the game is mods for pc, something you will never see on a console that can barely handle the game in 30fps and how disappointing the game is.
8 years of development time FOR THIS?

A disaster which has a ton of people playing it daily almost two months after it released

That is not a ton whatsoever. Its dropping QUICK. I mean, its being crushed by a two years old BF2042, a pathetic video game lol
I honestly allow this thread to die now. After seeing how far ahead Squadron42 is compared to Starfield and its toy looking weapons, i don't think its even worth talking about the game anymore. What a shame, 8 years of developement, and you get eclipsed by another game within a month.
It is what is.🤷♂️
5 days 7 hours and it just keeps getting better,i still haven't really scratched the base and ship building, mainly follower missions, activities, faction quests, and side quests in the 3 major cities without progressing past the sam coe main quest in Akila city which is pretty early doors.
👩🚀🚀🪐✨💫 GOTY 🥇🏆

Stop lying to yourself. You're playing an incredibly lazy and outdated game made on a engine that can't handle it.

Dropped to 85 on OC :

By now, if you're still playing the game, you're literally forcing yourself just so you could come on SW/Twatter and tell others that you have X amount of time in the game. What a disgrace.
@hardwenzen: Says he's going to let this thread die, and yet has posted in it again multiple times on the same day 🤣🤣🤣
Couldn't agree more tbh. I just cannot let it go. Starfield is like a mini Halo Infinite, so i must keep going. Please understand.
@hardwenzen: I know you've played Starfield and enjoy it, it's why you keep posting in here to try and convince yourself otherwise.
I'd go as far as saying you own a Series X too.
I did indeed play Starfield, its called oblivion, fallout 3, new vegas, skyrim and fallout 4.
@hardwenzen: You might be able to fool other people, but there's a reason I started calling you lemwenzen.
Those multiplats are supposed to be MS exclusives now?
@hardwenzen: Where in my comment did I say let alone elude to that?
There's a reason I call you lemwenzen, and we both know why that is.
I named bethesda games, bethesda is owned by ms, so you assume that me playing ms titles makes me a lem. Extremely disgusting from your end.
@hardwenzen: Nope, the only one assuming here is you lemwenzen.
Nope, you assume on daily basis, which makes you an Assuming Andy.
Only a game as phenom as GOAT Starfield could have this kind of staying power.
Just wowzerz, thread of the decade right here.
Poo cows, poo Cowspot!! lol :P
As a reminder how much better in every single way imaginable NV was when compared to Starfield. And they did all of this in a year n a half, not eight years like Starfield. Super cringe.
This is it everyone, my final post as I'm finally done with Starfield and to give out my final thoughts on the matter.
I'll be honest here, Starfield isn't a bad game by any means, but it is nowhere as fun as Skyrim for me that is. I pour hours into Skyrim and even to this day, I'm still playing it as it just more things to do, Starfield didn't capture me as much as Skyrim did. I expected so much more for Starfield. I really enjoy the gunplay, shooting stuff was more fun and building ships takes getting used to. Starfield needs intergalactic Aliens to give this game more immersion, that's what it's missing, Alien diversity. Skyrim had diversity on Elves, Orcs, and more race to choose from than the generic Humans. I really like you Bethesda but Starfield needs Humanoid Aliens.
Land/taking off planets isn't what I expected, I expect space flight to be similar to NMS, Star Citizen or even Elite: Dangerous which those 3 do it well, Starfield doesn't. One thing Starfield gets right over Skyrim is strong good writing. Starfield does it so well, I give credit where credit is due, and it's damn well written. Now Skyrim had a strong start but can fall flat as you progress. Remember people, writing is very subjective, so take it or leave it from what I've said here.
Final verdict here is a 6/10. Starfield has flaws, it's average at best and its a downgrade from Skyrim IMO. I'm now slightly worried for ES6 and after playing Starfield, Bethesda truly needs a brand new Engine. The Creation Engine has shown us it has reach it's limits...but it was nice seeing Bethesda pushing it as far as it can go for current-gen consoles/PC.
This hype thread has been one hell of a thread, I did not see this coming from continuing and I thought it wouldn't get this much attention compare to Tears of the Kingdom hype thread.
A heavily flawed game. A 6/10 is a VERY forgettable experience (just like Infinite, mind you). Now what? MS unloaded all they had, and its a massive disappointment. Kinda worried for Microsoft right at this moment.
@hardwenzen: I'd be surprise if it makes it to GOTY 2023 contenders list.
If it doesn't, that would be a bigger humiliation than the 7/10 here on GS.
Starfield is such a forgettable experience that i don't think they will ever make a sequel for it🤣
They will but in like 10 years.
They still need to finish Elder Scrolls 6 and Fallout 5 which they are working on. No hurry I say.

They will but in like 10 years.
If by then the core gameplay is identical, they will have a lot of trouble building hype for it.
