If there were an actual war between the big 3, which would win?

I think Nintendo, because they have the best mascots. Flags as well. Thus creating a fervor among its ranks.

Plus the size of the bullets would be hard to compete with. Thoughts?

Microsoft.

Not only are they a trillion dollar company, they also actually have contracts with the U.S. military.

It's hard to get past the Microsoft already having military contracts thing.

But Nintendo is also a trillion dollar company and has the worldwide recognition of Mario's world to contend with.

How would Microsoft win the hearts and minds of the people?

What mascots would they use, what flag?

Can't use X as a flag because then people would think of that thing known as Twitter X.

@DEVILinIRON:

Nope. Nintendo has the market cap of about $60 billion. Fraction of the size of Microsoft.

You said "actual war." Hearts and minds don't win wars... ...drone strikes do.

My bad, I was looking at Japanese Yen.

The drone strikes thing has yet to be determined. I haven't seen any actual wars won with those things yet. Just a lot of deaths. No-one is winning favor with drone strikes. Hearts and minds do matter. It's what lost the Vietnam war.

Back to on topic, what if Sony joined Nintendo to beat the bigger enemy? Also willing to bet gamers would take up arms on all sides, and so Microsoft would not be so big in the worldwide spectrum of things.

Also, I did post 'actual war', but I didn't say if I was actually kidding or not. Sorry if you find no humor in this.

Vietnam wasn't lost on hearts and minds. It was a combination of the U.S. not having clear political goals in the war and then running out of stamina to continue. They mired themselves in a long conflict without a clear end goal other than prop up South Vietnam, which eventually eroded support at home to the point they couldn't even muster the political will to send more military aid. North Vietnam simply outlasted the U.S.

Ground troops are certainly essential for verifying, capturing and holding objectives, but it's not as if Microsoft don't have their own troops. They just have force multipliers that Sony and Nintendo don't have.

I'm not taking this all that seriously either. As you can probably tell, I'm a bit of a history enthusiast. I just enjoy speculating on the "what ifs" and "could bes."

Nintendo.

The IPs, the talent, the know how. They haven’t lasted this long for no reason, they’re not only exceptionally competent in their craft, they’re incredibly shrewd businessmen.

You're missing something really important. xxx69 Nostalgic Millennial 69xxx. This is whom Nintendo is farming. When they get too old for gaming, only then you'll see Nintendo being in trouble.

Depends on the field. Hand to hand? Nintendomination they have the best power list suited for handheld combat situation. Lots of options to destroy their opponents. Main heavy warring though PlayStation Nation been dominating the fields for years they have the biggest army there is and an empire that spans the entire world. Some issues arising among PlayStation loyalist tho their soldiers been dissatisfied with recent push for friendly agreement with the PC hermits. We all know those PC snake they only take. Those beggars.

Idk Xbox Clan(?) exist. they have a lot of money and secretly most flexible combatant. Most likely to exit but also win the war long term due to somehow Xbox is no longer a thing but services they could offer to all combatants.

By using the media to promote the idea that Nintendo has WMDs? Then if you're against Xbox you hate Murica. :-D

I interpreted the thread as a war among the fiction made by the big 3. Not some real world war. Because if it’s a real war, Nintendo would be France

Not an entirely fair assessment of France's military history, but I get your point, lol.
