Sony pauses VR2 production

Sony reportedly has paused the production of the VR2 due to slow sales which has created a backlog of hardware. Time for Sony to admit the L here and bow out of the VR market.

One moment gaming hardware is hot and it is overrun with scalpers.

The next moment hardware prices are getting slashed.

What is everyone doing that's more fun than gaming and why have I not been informed of it?

I feel for people who got the vr2 day one it looks another vita situation.

You mean no one wanted to spend $500 extra on the $500 system to play all those amazing 1st party Sony games?

They could just make it compatible with PC but nah...

They probably thought they could get away with having no games, just like the PS5.

You know it's dead when they closed London studios no 1st party games seals it's fate.

I am having a good time with mine, I don’t regret my purchase.

Recently discovered Saints and Sinners 2, the rag doll stuff is fun. I am waiting on two games to be released and whatever may surprise me.

Oh well the cost of entry may be high but at least a lot of the games are $39.99 or 59.99, but rarely 89.99.

If the PS5 Pro rumors are true wouldn't it make sense that Sony would be pausing PSVR2 production to free up resources for PS5 Pro production?

If they release a PS5 Pro it should boost PSVR2 sales like how PS4 Pro boosted PSVR numbers.

@robert_sparkes: I don't feel sorry for them as they are the hardcore Sony fans who go out and buy everything Sony day 1. They got exactly what they deserved on this one.
