There's something strangely satisfying about killing Aliens with the marine assault rifle.
I have always been a fan of games based on the "Alien" movies. Ever since I played Accolade's brilliant game "Aliens" for the C-64, I've pretty much considered the world of the Alien franchise to be perfect for games. Th... Read Full Review

One of the forerunners of the Survival Horror genre!
At first glance Alien 3 strikes you as a run of the mill shot'em up/platformer, and you'll prepare yourself to just obliterate everything you see (similar to Konami's Aliens Arcade game). What you quickly realize is tha... Read Full Review

A total bore-fest
You start out the game battling facehuggers with a cattle prod. You eventually get a gun which makes the facehuggers more easy to kill and the Xenomorphs fightable. The problem is, there appears to be more Aliens than am... Read Full Review

Better game than the movie?
I had this when I was a child. It was one of the first SNES games I had. I decided to play it again to see whether the game was as good as I remember, or whether it was my naive age that made me think it a classic. I was... Read Full Review

A crappy movie makes a pretty good game.
Alien 3 wasn't that great. I mean, I've seen worse movies. But I've seen a whole lot of better movies too. The same works inversely for this game. I've played better games, but I've played a whole lot of worse games too.... Read Full Review

Playing thing game again I gave it more of a chance. Alien 3 basically has 3 missions either rescue prisoners, kill all the aliens, or just get out. Level desgien is uninteresting, and theres a strict time limit that r... Read Full Review

The first time I played this it grabbed my interest and I got about an hour out of it before I got stuck and I had no idea what to do next so I searched around everywhere hoping to find some kind of sign as of what to d... Read Full Review

If you want a quality game based on the Aliens franchise, keep looking.
While “Alien 3” for the SNES was a quality game, “Alien 3” for the 8-bit NES was just appalling. The storyline was bad, the weapons were dreadful, the music inexcusable, and the character handling was sub par. Most of... Read Full Review

One of the best side-scrolling adventure games for the SNES.
“Alien 3” was one of the best side-scrolling adventure games for the SNES. It didn’t really follow the events of the film “Alien 3,” but instead seemed more akin to “Aliens,” due to the sheer number of aliens that inhab... Read Full Review
