If only it was a little longer, it would've been near perfect.
If you thought Star Fox 64 was the first game in the Star Fox series, then you're wrong. The original Star Fox came out in 1993 for the Super Nintendo and started one of Nintendo's landmark series that is still around to... Read Full Review

Basically a great demo that would later on show off one of the best games of all time, to many.
When I was a kid and I owned a Super Nintendo I did have Star Fox but I only beat the first level and could do nothing more, because it's quite a difficult game, so I decided to pick up today and see if I could beat it a... Read Full Review

The SNES chugs out both excellent 3-D and, of course, an excellent game.
Before the great days of "Star Fox 64" came "Star Fox" for the Super Nintendo. For those who have never played the original, this may look unfamiliar because of the graphics. But it really is the same Star Fox we know an... Read Full Review

Star Fox remains one of the best shooters on the SNES, and though it's primitive, it's still a lot of fun.
Nintendo's Star Fox series is one of the most popular, highly-acclaimed sci-fi shooters ever created. While it only contains five entries (soon to be six) it's pretty influential on many other sci-fi shooters like it. St... Read Full Review

Leave it to Nintendo to create a outer space classic.
Star Fox is the first 3D console game I had played. It was amazing when it came out, and still is now. It was the first SNES game to utilize the Super FX graphics chip, which enhanced the capabilities a game could offer,... Read Full Review

Revolutionary for its time, this space shooter is still a blast to play today.
Starfox, or Starwing as it was called in Europe, revolutionised gaming. Strong praise, but look at it this way: a new graphics chip was incorporated into the game cartridge to add the power needed for the game to run. Co... Read Full Review

The start of the series is simple, and effective.
The Super Nintendo wasn't a powerhouse for 3-D. No matter how good its 2-D was, its 3-D looked rather, flat. Along comes Mode 7, a method of 3-D that isn't much more then vertical, horizontal, and diagonal flats lines, a... Read Full Review

Perhaps my personal favorite childhood game.
If there was a game that I remember from my childhood and enjoyed playing the most, it would definitely be Star Fox. I would frequently play this game only to die on the 2nd or 3rd stage. I was about 4 or 5 years old w... Read Full Review
