Street Fighter III: 2nd Impact - Giant Attack Cheats For Arcade Games

  1. Gill And Shin Akuma Playable Glitch

It is possible to play as both boss characters. This glitch requires two controllers. When you start up the game, let the intro play out entirely and enter Demo Mode. The game will go to a CPU-controlled character select screen, and will choose Hugo. As soon as this happens, press the 2nd Player Start Button. For reference, the timer will be around the 14 second mark. If timed correctly, the 2nd Player character select screen will appear and the game will reset to a 2nd Player Arcade Mode.

Play through as normal until you reach Gill. When the words Round 1 appear onscreen, press the 1st Player Start Button. The game will announce that's time to fight a new challenger. It will go to the 1st Player character select screen, but it will be glitched. It will display Ryu, but with Gill's Super Arts. Regardless of which you choose, both of them will be available in the match at the same time. Gill will be playable via the 1st Player controller. If Gill wins, the game will automatically roll over to a new 1st player Arcade Mode with him still as the playable character. This method will also work with Shin Akuma; you have to fulfill the requirements to reach him, and then activate the glitch once the words Round 1 appear onscreen. Make sure that Akuma is not stunned when he's KO'd, otherwise he won't revive as Shin Akuma. Also, Gill and Shin Akuma don't have Arcade Mode endings; the game will glitch and keep restarting the Gill boss fight. You also have to redo this glitch each time you reset and start a new game.

  2. Control Sean's Basketball Intro

When Sean uses his basketball shot intro animation, you can actually alter its arc by pressing right or left. If you time it right, you can hit your opponent with the ball.

  3. Hugo's Delayed Hammer Mountain

When using Hugo's Hammer Mountain Super Art, you can delay its activation by holding down a punch button. If you hold it down long enough, the move will be canceled entirely. This can be used to throw off parrying tactics, or to better deal with enemies that jump behind you.

  5. Perfect Taunting In Parrying Practice

Thanks to the way the parrying practice bonus round is programmed, hitting a basketball with an attack actually awards you points, despite not actually counting as a parry. Due to the unique properties of Yun's taunt - its hit box is right above and in front of his head, it counts as an attack, and he can do it infinitely - you can taunt continuously throughout the challenge without being knocked out of the animation. Doing so not only eliminates the need to parry, but the game even gives you bonus points for a perfect score if you taunt through every single basketball. However, you can't mix and match parries and taunts; you'll only be awarded for the ones you've parried instead of earning a perfect.

  6. Hugo's Hitbox

Due to programming issues with Hugo's larger hitbox, he's vulnerable to attack combos that are impossible to connect with any other character. For example, Sean can throw him across the screen with his backward kick-based throw, and then immediately link it with his Hyper Tornado Super Art. Sean can also combo Hugo by linking the second hit of his Dragon Smash into the Hyper Tornado.

  7. Quickly Fill Sean's Super Art Gauge

Like all the other characters, Sean has to build up a gauge to do EX moves and Super Arts. Due to a programming error, he can do this much quicker than any of the others. By holding Back on the directional pad while tapping an attack button, Sean's gauge will fill up twice as fast as it normally should.

  9. Floating Ken During Gill's Ressurection

If you're playing as Ken, you can perform an interesting trick against Gill. When Gill triggers his Ressurection Super Art, try hitting him with Ken's Shoryuken. Ken will start floating in midair, which usually results in him flying up off the screen and through the floor at increasing speeds. This can be useful for avoiding attacks or starting a combo.
