An exercise in compassion

User Rating: 7 | Life is Strange 2 PC

Most video games (and even the original Life Is Strange is no exception) put the player in a position of power. This one puts you in a position of powerlessness. You are an outcast whose choices are usually limited to "bad" and "worse", and, even though the power of telekinesis plays a big role in the story, that power isn't yours and makes things more, not less, complicated. I'm not surprised that, according to Steam statistics, most of the people who started the game never finished it, because it is about making you feel uncomfortable, not empowered. It's an exercise in compassion. Life is indeed strange, and you might find yourself in the role of an outcast when you least expect it. If you are quick to judge others, this game might do you some good.
