Just mash the colored buttons like crazy. What I do is flip the controller to where I can press them with both my index and middle fingers. If the bar goes down, it means your opponent isn't damaged enough.
Just go to the Sanctuary in the save room, "activate" the save you want to delete, and there should be an option to delete it.
If it doesn't work. go to System, Storage, then locate where your Fable 3 saved games are at (usually Hard Drive), and delete the Hero save directly. Your first save is probably named "Hero 1" or something to that nature, but best to make sure first by checking it in game. For PC users, I'm assuming it's the same thing, just find your Fable 3 directory and delete the save games there.
I still play the original Fable for the xbox, but I'm thinking about getting The Lost Chapters for PC. I will agree, the original's usually (not always) the best one.
I don't "hate" the game, but I'm just slightly disapointed with it. It just doesn't have that same impact that Fable 2 did. One of the biggest things I miss were the amount of mortality choices. It feels like you hardly get two ways to finish a quest now. But that's just my opinion.
