Rush Rush Rally Racing is coming to the Sega Dreamcast this October. It's a top-down arcade racing game, and it looks pretty cool. You can preorder the game for $22 on the publisher's website.

Trailer and more info on the game in the link. I can't wait for a new game for my Dreamcast!

Thank you to everyone that took the time to help me out. I appreciate it. Mods, feel free to lock this whenever you'd like. Thanks for keeping it open for me long enough to get a few responses.

Good point Matt. I forgot that the shelf life for the exceptionally bitter is rather short. :)

Sure thing. In addition to R&C, people seemed to enjoy God of War: Chains of Olympus, Boom Blox, Mercenaries 2, and NBA 2K7. Those were the ones that seemed to inspire the most friendly comments.

Perhaps I overestimated the length of time the average person stays active in System Wars -- there doesn't seem to be a whole lot of folks left from the "old" days. I figured some of those folks would enjoy reminding me of their past venom. Or maybe people were just really pissed off at the time and have since moved on to either not caring or being angry about something else... I'm not sure. I figured there would be more classic comments posted here.

[QUOTE="AaronThomas"]I should also mention (if I didn't do it in the first post) that I'm doing this article to talk about how I learned to deal with getting these comments on a regular basis. It can really get to you if you let it, but it's also hard to ignore, even though you know you should. SUD123456

And this is what makes you a putz.

I never cared before this thread. Reviews are just one person's opinion. If you actually read them, instead of just looking at the score, you can usually illicit some nuggets of useful information, which you can then interpret and do with as you please.

But this? This is shoddy journalism at its best. You want some abuse? How about this you putz.

Your article won't be worth squat. You have just automatically invalidated it. How can one purport to write an insightful article about dealing with the slings and arrows of verbal abuse received, when one has trolled those nuggets? Your emotional state is completely false. I can see it now: and then they said this....and then they said that.....but I wasn't hurt, I didn't call out for my mommy...blah...blah...blah... Well, now we don't know that and neither do you. You cannot take solicited abuse, pretend to shrug it off, quote it, and then write some purile drivel about how it made you feel.....for the obvious reason that your 'feelings' cannot possibly be genuine towards comments you trolled to receive. Ergo, this path cannot possibly provide you or any one else insight. Unfortunately, you will pass it off as so and thereby create yet another travesty of journalism. Perhaps you should get a job at the NY Times and write some terribly real, thoughtfully insightful stories on the plight of some unfortunate soul, and later be caught for making the whole damn thing up....oh wait. Isn't that exactly what this is now teetering on?

Furthermore, do your own damn research. Are you that lazy? Not only are you going to manufacture a false emotional state, but you also want us to do all your research for you.

By goodness, you truly are a putz.

I'm not really looking for new material. I'm looking for old stuff that has since been lost in the vastness of the Internet. I didn't keep the hate mail, the private messages, nor did I bookmark specific threads. If people want to say new bad stuff about me, that's fine I guess, but I'm not really looking for people to come in here and insult me because I asked.

I'm doing great. Trust me, if I was bummed out I wouldn't be doing this article. You've got to be in a pretty good mood to search the Internet for comments about being fat/retarded/stupid/incompetent... :)

lololololol too much variety.

I remember you knocking down R&C for too much variety and giving Mario and Sonic the Variety Emblem. So... *ahem*

(Kevin VanOrd reinstated this thread for me, so please don't delete it and ban me because you think my account got hacked. It didn't. )

I know, I know. You think I've finally come around to your side of things and realized that I do, in fact, suck. Not really. Sorry. :)

BUT, I do need your help, and those of you that hate me (and what better place than System Wars to find people who fit that bill?), will probably enjoy helping me out here.

I'm writing an article called "Aaron Thomas Sucks!" about the terrible things people say about reviewers and how you need to have a thick skin to deal with it. Believe it or not, I'm not finding as much horrible stuff about myself as I thought I would (Someone wrote a whole thing about me being "dumbass of the year" and I can't find it anymore :( ). I know this stuff is out there, but it seems that most of it was on message boards or in private messages that have since been lost forever.

This is where I need your help.

If you sent me hate mail, posted awful things about me, or recall seeing terrible things written about me somewhere, please reply to this topic with the quote and links to the quote, or send a PM to AaronThomas (all one word). I guess if you want to relive the glory days and say something brand new and hateful towards me, you can do it here as well (though I'm not going to use any "new" material from this thread). I'm not trying to call out specific people and I'm not going to trash you for saying anything bad about me, I just need quotes.

I'll be sure to update this topic with a link to the finished product when it's done in case you want to read it.

Thanks! :)

EDIT: Mods, please don't ban anyone for anything that's said here. I'm asking for hateful stuff and won't take any offense to it. Everyone else, just be sure to limit your hate to me and not other current or former GameSpotters.
