@Ace94583: So after a month I gave this another look which reconfirms my original comments and it's seems to have gotten worse. Now not only do we have a 1995 design with tiny useless imagery, even the sort tab is broken. It used to stay on what was selected (Top, Recent, Update), but now on any given day will automatically go to either Top or Update on any refresh, but never Recent which is what I suspect most people want, especially if you are a daily or frequent viewer.

But hey, they managed to clear out 2/3 of the screen for ads in 1440p so give the web designers a raise and keep giving your viewers the finger.

Regarding the changes on the PC site...

Terrible/awful/historically bad. Did anyone in your company look at these changes on a PC?? Tiny, I mean Tiny images. Everything looks exactly the same. Actually hard to read on a 1440P screen.

This is the worst redesign I have ever seen. So bad, I will be going to IGN for game news now, a site I have not even visited in years.

Designers should be replaced. Management who approved this should be replaced.

And oh yeah, I'm an app producer / UI designer with 20 years experience so I have some Idea what I'm talking about having worked for such minor companies as Microsoft.....

My comment was not meant to be a legal judgement, rather a comment on how the forum is being managed in this case. If you don't like what users are saying then just let the thread run its course. By locking or deleting threads that do not egregiously violate policy it just incenses people further.

Gamespot... Why did you lock this post? Is free speech no longer allowed in your forums??

Locked Post: http://www.gamespot.com/forums/offtopic-discussion-314159273/site-upgrade-shame-on-you-gamespot-30846626/?messageId=341677521#js-message-3

And, to prove my point regarding the quality of the site upgrade I received email notification today, 9 days after responses were made that there were responses.

Did you take action against "iampenguin" who clearly violated forum rules by both making a flaming personal attack and using profanity in his response????

True to my word I had not revisited the site until receiving the email response with the profanity as I was amazed. I see things have not improved much as it took 30 seconds for my first "Server error"

How many reviews have you done where you've ranted about the premature release of that game. Whoever is responsible for your web needs a new job. I have never seen such a crappy site upgrade. Clearly it's not ready for prime time (or any time). The design is horrible and confusing, constant server errors, and the performance feels like dial-up from the 90s. I'll be surfing elsewhere now....

Recently I've noticed your web site (including even the forums) has been slowing to the point that I no longer use your site as it's too frustrating. Pages often take 30+ seconds to load. This is not an issue with my PC or internet connection as I have a very high performance PC with a 30MB+ connection. I also have no problems with any other web site I frequently visit.
