I just beat the game a little bit ago,and the game was amazing. The story had a lot of interesting twists, and it was an overall satisfying experience.Playing it for a second time now to see the alternate ending, and I have to say that the game amazes me everytime I load it up.This is one of those games that you can come back to time and time again, and always find yourself with a new found appreciation for the game.I definitely love this game and it is a keeper,10 out of 10 from me.

I'd figure I would try to get this bumped up to the front. So,who has picked up bioshock and played it at least halfway through?I am at the Hephaestus area and I must say, this has been one of the best single-player experiences I have had since the Original Half-Life.Also,everything that happens after Hephaestus will surprise you a great deal ;).

Humbug!

I miss the days when having multiplayer was more of a bonus than a requirement!:(

vidplayer8

agreed, online is cool and all, butlike you said itsmore of a bonus.

I agree with both of you.Online back then was a bonus and now it is something people take for granted.I had a few friends who at first said that because bioshock was single-player only they weren't going to get it.I said "Dude, not all games have to be online, some are best sticking to one or the other because it suits the game more".So I had them try out the Bioshock demo and then asked them,"Do you still feel bioshock would fit and do well with multiplayer in it?"They simply replied,"That would completely ruin the game and it's concept."So yeah, online is a good bonus if it suits certain games, just that some people don't realize that anymore.Anyways,MGS4 is shaping up to be good,Final Fantasy 13 seems to be a must-play for the system, and Killzone 2,well.......Let's just say that they need to work more on gameplay now that they have the graphics done.Other titles to look forward to on the ps3:Uncharted Drakes Fortune,Heavenly Sword,Ratche and Clank Future, and Little Big Planet.360 seems to have a killer library of games too, let's hope all of them are as amazing as they look.

BIOSHOCK!

Has anyone else played the demo?

hendrix29

I thought the demo was phenomenal, especially the atmosphere and story. Although the voice acting could be a bit better, it sounds like a big hit to me. Speaking of new games, I just got the new Madden, very good so far.

Yeah I loved the Bioshock demo, played it multiple times using specific things like once with a pistol only, once with the incinerate plasmid, etc.I think that this game is GOTY material,of course that will be a close one to decide with so many great games coming out.I tried out Madden at Gamestop today and it definitely is the best next-gen Madden yet,so I might pick that up but Bioshock,Eternal Sonata, and Halo 3 will take up most of my game time until late October when FEAR Files and Timeshift are out.One last thing, how many of you will run the Halo 3 campaign through co-oprather than single-player?I plan on doing co-op for the good fun halo has always been with co-op in the campaign, but playing it by yourself also gives you a rich experience since you are fighting on your own, which is also kind of cool.

Well I'm still on week 3 and this is getting ridiculous. As long as my 360 lasts more than 7 months when I get it back I will be happy,I don't want to have to send my 360 every 5 months or I will just trade it in for a ps3.This issue has gotten to the point where it is really annoying and MS just taking the console and giving me another one with the same issue is not helping.I really hope that they resolve the issue, especially after that article on recalls in Australia.

Yea i checked that trailer out, seemed interesting but all the detail in the world cant save a game from its average level design. I think the alien environment could look cool if they were a bit more creative about how it looks, not just about how detailed it is. Thats one thing games like Halo and Unreal did right, each area you play in, whether in single player or multiplayer was nicely designed with unique characteristics to distinguish them from other levels.

I'd say the PS3 is technologically superior to the 360, i mean its in the specs of the system, the reason certaingames like oblivion, which lookedgood on 360, looks a little better on the ps3 simply because the developers spent more time refining the details on the ps3 version than the 360.It's up to the developers to make each game reach its full potential, the consoles, while more advanced means better details, are simply the vessels that carry the games.

The hardware is obviouslygood on both systems but it brings about the point once again, its about the GAMES. It's about how many games are engaging enough in single player as well as fun to play in multiplayer, not how much better one system is over the other. It doesnt matter how powerful the systems are if they dont have a good quantity of games as well as good quality games.

I think Crysis COULD be done on the ps3 but it would not look as good or run as well, it would be too watered down to enjoy, that and the fact that no matter how advanced a console is, it doesnt have the resources and tools that pcs provide for developers to create the game they want, well they dont have the resources yet, maybe future consoles will be as good as pcs in terms of resources, but the pcsare constantly evolving while consoles are on a 5-8 year cycle now, who knows
