-both the PS4 and Xbox 540 will not block used games

-both PS4 and Xbox 540 will be chock full games that are either DRM'ed to infinity or has "cloak" DRM, i.e., online passes, hold back/day 1/on disk DLC, registration codes, perpetual online requirements, etc.

Bought Ultimate MvC3, SFxTK, MW3, and Ninja Gaiden 3. All used or traded for. Did it with a lot of glee. Several publishers and developers never got my money and never will. Me likey.

Let me take the global view. Why has gaming become so consumer unfriendly? Because we allow it. Online passes, restrictions on used games, annualization of franchises with barely any innovative or useful extra features added, overpriced DLC, content that used to be part of the package held back for extra profit, the list goes on and on. Gaming is one of the few pastimes and hobbies where no matter how badly the consumer is treated, they buy those products anyway. I used to call people who were calling for a second 1980s style crash crazy but I now see their point and would be interested to see the improved offerings that would rise out of the ashes of that scorched earth.

The Jessica Chobot character is epic fail. Not only is her "acting ability" as wooden as a desk, her appearing in a game puts into question her journalistic integrity (I LOLed a few times before putting "Jessica Chobot" and "journalistic integrity" in the same post); it would be like someone covering the oil industry appearing in a commercial for Exxon Mobil.
