Guys, just to make sure everyone understands that we didn't "forget" anything. Read the introduction. Rest assured, we are hoping to revisit this feature in the future and cover other games. Also, read the introduction so you can be clear that to qualify for listing, the game has to be free to download and free to play. A game with a free trial is not a free game. That excludes Ragnarok Online. There plenty of retail MMOGs with free trials, but that does not make them a free game.

Coldfire, we're definitely looking to continue this feature and include other games in the future. Thanks for the suggestions. If you have any others, feel free to email them to me at kevinv@gamespot.com.

Guild Wars isn't free--you have to purchase it. Read the intro closely. All of these games are free to download.

leimesei, I am not sure I follow. Are you saying that the Dual Shock 3 has been out for 10 years? That's obviously false. The article does what many readers had been looking for us to do: put the brand new controller through its paces to determine how it stacks up to the previous Dual Shock controller, both in current games and via backwards compatibility. If you feel that this article doesn't apply to your interests, that doesn't mean that others don't find it valuable. Personally, I was very interested to see how the rumble support was in the DS3 as compared to the 360 controller and the DS2, and I am glad our hardware department took the time to test it. You don't need to make misleading statements (that we are testing 10-year-old hardware) when that is absurdly false--unless you are stuck in a warping of the space-time continuum!

I am unclear what the issue of not having a black editor has to do with the price of tea in China. It is off topic in this feature and was rightfully moderated. It is also trolling. Do you suggest we would not hire a black editor should he be qualified? GameSpot hires editors based on a number of factors, without consideration for factors like gender, creed, and race. That is, of course, the law, and the way CNET and GameSpot function. It isn't feeding anything; it is removing posts that have no business being in these feature comments--and are ridiculous accusations against the most open minded company for which I have ever worked. There are people of color working in various departments in GameSpot, and I find the insinuation to be completely off base. As it is, these comments are for discussing the feature. You can take ridiculousness to System Wars.

lithus--we didn't call it the greatest game, we inducted into our list of the greatest games. Regarding the single-player game, you do realize how groundbreaking it was, correct? Perhaps comparing it to modern games like Far Cry or its own sequel may make it feel a little less exciting, but it featured almost seamless transitions, groundbreaking AI, terrifying scripted events... but why listen to me? It's all there in the text above me, which goes into great detail about why the single player WAS revolutionary--and certainly not mediocre.

Darthmoses: Spore is not an RTS. It would sensibly not be included on this list.
