Eesh. First time I've tried to view content here since they redid their website. I've stuck through several interface redesigns on Gamespot but I think this time they're finally going to get rid of me.
Whether or not the pass is worth the cash will depend on the player. I didn't hesitate to buy the Borderlands 2 Season Pass because I had been impressed with the original game's DLC and I have not regretted my decision.
But based on the DLC that came out for Arkham City (as well as what they've described above) I doubt I'll be buying this season pass. Challenge maps don't hold my interest and alternate skins just seem unnecessary (especially if you can only use them in challenge maps).
As much as I enjoyed the gameplay from AC1 I hated the animus mechanic enough that I never felt compelled to try any of the sequels. Framing the story around the animus trivialized your actions in the core game, reducing them to rough approximations of your ancestor's true actions.
I never felt interested enough to pick up D3 for the PC (despite have been a big fan of D2) but with local co-op I may pick this up for the Xbox. It could be a nice break from Borderlands 2.
I remember watching gameplay footage of DA2 and how the fast and choppy animations convinced me not to buy it. The combat animations from DA1 weren't too good either. Whenever someone swung a two-handed weapon they seemed to be doing so in slow motion.
It's sad but I think the Neverwinter Nights combat animations were more realistic than either game and that game must be well over 10 years old by now.
