So many great gaming companies getting bought out and then being shut down. All Disney wanted was the rights. Disney has just lost a ton of my respect. I wish all the best to the employees and their family members in finding new jobs in the industry.

Disney just lost all my respect, which is sad, because they had the resources to do something, and instead they threw hundreds of people under the bus.
I got kind of excited to see this annoucement seeing as though I have never played a Saints Row game, but I have had one in my hands several times pondering a purchase.... Well, after watching this video, all I see is a game with a serious lack of identity. Like somebody else said, tis looks to be trying WAY to hard. Is it Star Wars, Mass Effect, GTA, Infamous? I know that games can be their own without being compared to anything, but everything I saw was underwhelming as far as me considering a purchase... Slow it down make a less flashy video. Seriously, after video one HYPE METER 0%
Homerun.... this upcoming generation (WiiU doesnt count... lol) is looking better all the time. Thief is a great series, and with the tech we have today I expect a HUGE next level jump in the series. Awesome!!! Perhaps the Elder Scrolls will have a little competition (indirectly) and Bethesda's next ES game wont be a steaming pile like Skyrim was. Either way I will be going to this games midnight release as long as they dont somehow completely screw it up.
Well, it appears that apparently nobody thinks that anything about the PS4 sounds new or exciting. This is about PS not Xbox, Nintendo, or PC.
I am not too excited about a lot of the social aspect of the console, and there has not been a game shown yet that I give a damn about, but I find plenty to be excited about.
The biggest things to get excited about are the things everybody seems to leave out. How about 8gigs of RAM, or the possibility of a SSD, or MUCH easier Dev Kits meaning making games for the console will take a lot less time and resources so that the money can actually go into producing the product.
How about the million object testing? Being able to watch a friend or family member live anywhere in the world? Cross game chat? Being able to quickly go from a state of low power consumption immediatly back to game playing? Seemless streaming (I admit to being skeptical of this, especially with those of us out there without mega fast internet connections)? Ability to quickly and easily try free demos or a set ammount of game time without taking several hours to download some game that winds up being garbage? Promising engines like the newest unreal engine? Developers actually excited to work with Playstation again?
I did see a couple 4's hidden within the presentation... or maybe its just wishful thinking... lol
Either way, I'm sure that is what it is. I look forward to hearing some details. and I plan on getting a PS4 on day 1, however, if 4 is as big of a letdown as 3, then SONY has lost my business forever.
I have been following rumors and understand development will be MUCH easier on the PS4 however, so I am very optimistic that we might finally get that "next gen" feel that PS3 was supposed to deliver.
However the PS3 to me felt like Windows Vista.... complete crap.. lol
Everybody is entitled an opinion, but this game recieving a 6.5 is a crap opinion in my opinion. This game outshines most modern day shooters in almost every category and is EASILY the best 3rd person shooter on the PS3. Sure it has some stiff controls at times (like the weird cover system hang ups), but I am so sick and tired of game producers trying to do a little TOO MUCH! I actually felt like Spec Ops the Line has a perfect blend of new mechanics, but somehow still holds that good old fashioned thing some may call "fun!" I know, that's a shocker huh? Shooters in general aren't usually known for their awesome storylines, and although I didn't always love the way the story went in my playthrough of the game, it was very interesting and it did NOT just feel like the same old crap that has been shoveled down our throats for years. Games like this get a bad rap because they try to take a step in a different direction, while other games that are clones of massively popular games take crap from the media saying they dont have any originality... rock and a hard place huh? I guess if it isn't CoD, BF, GoW, or Uncharted the game doesnt deserve a higher score. By the way, this game is a TON more fun and challenging at higher levels of gameplay then ANY of the other games I mentioned. If you havn't played this game and you are a shooter fan, you will have a good time with this game hands down. Other then not having a designated jump button, and the awful snap to cover so many games are adding these days, this games campaign rates higher then ANY other shooter I have played on the PS3 (yes, including BF3). I think they did a great job with the game, and with a CoD label taped to the cover it would have easily scored a 8.5 to a 9.
