Let's just say it was awesome to play the Crash and Spyro trilogies back in the day. Oh and FFVIII and Metal Gear Solid too. Good times...

I will own a new gaming comp this december and I wonder about this Xbox thing. Just how worthwhile Xbox on WIndows 10 can be without buying the console itself and is there some worthwhile games not on Steam for example?

Still, hopefully I can get quite a good haul indeed. The thing is, it still kinda amazes me how Valve was able to rise to the position they are in now...

I should get a new gaming comp soon. Intel i7, NVIDIA 1070. Bad news, it's only available on 8th of December. But then again, I'm a rather patient guy...

@GTR12: Yup. But this Easter Egg was actually incorporated into subtitles, at least in the Japanese translation. And that's what makes this so interesting. To my eyes at least.

@GTR12: Yeah, the thing is that the Hyrule Alphabet does not occut in subtitles at all as far as I know. And as you can see in the screenshot provided, the Jak and Daxter alphabet does in this particular scene.

@ArchoNils2: Ok, I might not be that good at explaining things so bear with me, alright? Now, before you ask, this only happens with the Japanese translation of the game. Playing any other languages will cause the subtitle to appear as normal. With that out of the way, I just wanted someone discussing just how unique this particular instance is. I definitely haven't found any other thread or blog post or whatever mentioning this. Ok, Jak games in general might be a niche thing in Japan and I don't recall encountering any Japanese blogs or the like discussing Jak games. Well, I don't know much about Japanese language so there you go. Again, not good with explanations but I hope my intent is clear. And yes, Jak games definitely were awesome during my PS2 days. And in fact, I did encounter that subtitle 'anomaly' myself as I experimented with the different languages. I might not have though much about it back then but recently I wanted to know more...

Ok? That's all you can say? In any case, this definitely is unique as far as gaming goes.

For context, this is a screenshot of a Japanese playthrough of Jak 2 and in this particular scene, the subtitles in fact says Hora-Quan using the in-game alphabet. Kinda unique when you think about it. I mean, they could have used Katakana and be done with it but for some reason the translator really wanted to use the in-game alphabet here. Especially noteworthy since it doesn't come with a gloss.
