Been playing From games for over a decade. I know exactly what I expected.
Then why would you complain about it? If you know the game is about exploration from the player instead of following quest markers.........It's like complaining about why you can't jump in Mass Effect Trilogy and have a QOL in movement with Shepard.

As a souls player, have not played ER, I will say this--you are trying to play this game as a "Quest" game. There's your problem right there. Souls games are not a checkmark this and checkmark that type of game. Why not just play the game rather than trying to have your hand held every second and be told exactly what to do, how to do it, where to do it, and why to do it. From's biggest issue here isn't that it's bad, it's that its too open-ended with too much freedom to do shit without forcing the player to follow a script. Many of us don't consider that a bad thing.
