Opinion: Hope I don't get much backlash over this. But in my opinion, this looks to like the media and few people are bullying Sony for this feature that not all Sony customers want. When Sony customer wants it, we(they) will demand it or face the customer backlash. Remember the backlash on the always online on Xbox, that is majority of customer sentiment. This in my opinion, a few loud voices on the media or online.
May be Sony should have poll from its customers, it they want this. If most customers don't want this, then those who preach about should stop already.
This is kinda getting annoying already, a consumer, I don't want somebody demanding something I don't want.
What if after the core game, I am good, and don't need/want any additional content. What is the worth of the DLCs and others that I will not play? As a PS4 consumer, I don't have the option to just have the core game and decide later if I would like additional content. Why make it a bundle, just to justify the $60 price tag.
Unfortunately for Xbox One, a simple upgrade of cpu/ram clock and increasing number of gpus will not be enough to reach needed graphics improvements on most games. It is because of the esram, it is good for small data caching (i.e. storage), but not optimized for large data caching (i.e. graphics). The only way for the Xbox One to have the need graphics upgrade, they need to re-architect it without using the esram.
ubisoft is on a roll this year, even to the last minute... may be it would be best if they take the next year off, instead of releasing broken/buggy/bad games!
