So what I gathered is that OP is depressed about the current state of the Xbox brand, but as a coping mechanism they're proposing folks should be nicer to Xbox on the internet.

It's odd that the Portal was originally tracked as a console, but now it's an accessory. I know folks thought it would be lumped with PS5 hardware but that wasn't the case. Instead we saw the Portal finishing behind the PS5, Switch, Xbox consoles and the Arcade 1UP machines. Then a few months ago it started appearing in the accessory charts... Why wasn't it just there in the first place?

But yes, the Portal is performing better than most thought it would. It turns out hardware sales, even streaming only hardware sales aren't dead. Despite what the Xbox crowd is trying to tell everyone...

3rd party devs have expressed concern over software sales and have explored skipping the platform. Also Game Pass growth has slowed to a crawl (as have updates regarding the subscriber total).
