I just beat the zombie soldiers and it was so hard.I somehow managed to win at level 18 i dont know how.I even ran out of mana and had used up all my molotov coctails and 1 bufa stone.
@jak42:You want my advice? go play ff7.FF7 is a much better game than ff8.It has a better system(Materia system) and its more straight forward with less over complicated tutorials.Also:Far less tutorials to go through and a much more enjoyable gameplay.You could also play the saga series on gameboy.I know the game is really hard to get used to, but i really enjoy them a lot.
Thats because grinding is the most boring thing ever in ff8 and its the grindiest game ever.
The stupid card game rules are the worse and the card queen is annoying.
Every single time the stupid rule you dont want doesnt disappear, instead something else bad happens you reset, and you have to keep getting up and resetting the console.This happened in suikoden 1, but it was 100.000 times worse in ff8, because it happens way more often in ff8 and leads to boring resetting, and the credits take forever.
ff7 was a lot more fun.I know i have trashed talked ff7 because the fanbase and the characters annoy me to no end, but i would rather play ff7 100.000 times over before playing ff8.
The golden saucer mini games are a lot more fun, as well as the materia system is also far more enjoyable than that stupid junction system.Besides:The materia system offers more variety than the junction system ever could.I dont hate the other mini games, i dont even hate triple triad, i just hate how grindy it is, and how awful it is to get rid of those pesky rules.
I feel that squeenix is trying to pad out games more and more ever since ff8, and ff9 was the only more recent one i played which didnt try to do that.I felt like ff9s pacing was actually good.
