Yes, yes we do! Also it's been a while yo!

Hello, timu. How have you been?

I'm doing ok but I am a changed person, well, at least in how I manage hobbies, routines and such. Like now I changed the way I do gaming, tv and movie watching, and writing stories, oh and I'm more of a Youtuber than ever now, I would even say Youtube is the number 1 site I go to nowadays. Normally I would make videos on a monthly basis and now I'm trying to figure out where to go next since next year will be me making Youtube vids for 5 years(though my account will be 7 years old).

Oh yeah, speaking of writing, Nano is coming, in November even, so I have to prepare for that. As usual I have to do a 50k word novel in 1 month, which I manged to succeed 4 times! This year will be tougher than usual since I still need to perfect the outline for the story, characters, writing and more to be able to get the story done on time.

In other words, these are going to be busy months for the rest of the year!

@mitu123: I been meaning to ask you. Which GPU RTX are you aiming to buy?

If I'm lucky, 2070 or 2080. If not, a RTX 3000 series card that would come in a year or 2.

I don't think I did, but the movies are long enough as it is!

I'll put in a spoiler.

Aunt Petunia shows in the 6th or 7th film that she actually cared about her sister, Harry's mother. The whole family leaves their home behind, since either Harry (I think it is him) or someone else convinces them too. Aunt Petunia must have known about Lord Voldemort and more about what went on before Voldemort disappeared thanks to her sister.

Also does the regular version show what Hermione does to protect her family?

I don't think it did TBH.

Oh definitely, Intel definitely has single core performance advantage while Ryzen/Threadripper would have multi core peformance advantage.

I just watched all the Harry Potter movies. IMO Deathly Hallows Part 2 and Prisoner of Azkaban are the best ones!

It's been awhile since I last read or saw that serie. Did you watch the extended editions where possible?

Ok, that makes sense, I can see the cpu being useful though. While games do use more than 4 cores, they don't go above 8 cores really. Years from now they should but it'll be a long time before going above 8 cores would be the norm.

The only thing that worries me is the potential drop in single core performance. Do you know about any benchmarks that tests single core CPU performance? I would like to compare the two, my current with the new one I will hopefully get this fall.

I haven't checked benchmarks for Threadripper but I would think it wouldn't do as great for single core performance but it will still be fine. Multi core wise it would kill everything!

I know it lags somewhat behind Intel. Ryzen still do. Nothing compared to before though.

@mitu123: I'm getting threadripper. Most likely 2920X, though it could be 2950X. Gonna buy new RAM for it any day soon.

Also the ray tracing has lead to huge dies on the new generation. Along with increased TDP. Maybe nVidia will be suffering with heat issues with this coming gen?

Threadripper? You must be doing some heavy application work like video editing or something because Threadripper is overkill for gaming.=O

That could happen with the new Nvidia cards as they are also power hungry from what I heard.

Well the TDP is increased on them so...

I do fold with one gpu. that demands quite a lot of the CPU as well. Plus more and more games recommend above 4 cores these days.
