@_plaguelight_: I think you'd have a better argument if this were a Valve-produced update. You still get four free maps (which I'd argue is the primary part of this event); you just can't get player-made items without paying. With all of the money from the $2 ticket going to those players who made this stuff, I find it hard to complain.

@_plaguelight_: You can play the maps for free, but the new event coin (and cosmetics) aren't free, which isn't a new development.

@cornbredx: It pains me to this day how awful it got in those last two seasons. I think this is looking really good, though, based on the brief bits we've seen and the fact that many of the best writers were brought back. I also think limiting this to such a limited run will help; part of the problem with the original series was they didn't have a plan for where things were going. There were a lot of inconsistencies and retconning that happened over the years.

I had seen this on Steam recently and thought it looked neat -- I'm glad to hear it is. Only $11.24 right now, too!
