@palasta: then they’ll shutter the studio. Twitch viewership for HD2 is down, Steam numbers are down. Like I said, nothing new, very predictable. This has happened to many games.

When Halo Infinite was coming out lemmings did the same. “Look at the numbers! Haha! Dr. Disrespect said that if there wasn’t a BR mode the game would die! Haha! Lots of Twitch views and Steam numbers!”

I said the same…wait for a couple months…and guess what? Gamers moved on. New games come out, they get bored, it can’t replicate COD or Fortnite’s staying power. HD2 was a temporary injection of fun that Sony desperately needed in a barren wasteland of 2024 for them. Now the hype has died down, we’re seeing what some of us already knew.

I love how people really thought HD2 would maintain 200K+ on Steam 😆. We’ve seen this time and time again. Game is dying already. By the end on the year it’ll be dead and Sony will lay off 500+ employees from the studio.

Ubi gonna come with the excuses when this game doesn’t sell well. It’s on them for pandering with trying to rewrite real world people. I’m seeing a bunch of black people making videos that are pissed about this. When wokeness goes wrong. Don’t blame the fans Ubi! This L is on you!

Sony is on a downward spiral as their financial targets, that were already lowered, are missed. The biggest game PS will have all year is a day and date PC title. They’re losing Square Enix, they’ve already let thousands of employees go earlier this year and shut studios down. No huge title ready for 2024. Steller Blade drama, HD2 drama, GoT drama, refunds, refunds, refunds. Sony is down bad this year and they’re hoping to suck you in with a Pro model but no “launch” showcase title for it.

Things are so bad they are gonna pay for TWO CEOs, rather than one, so they can babysit each other. Pee Wee Herman/Herman Munster is gonna do great things with the POWAH OF TEH PLAYSTATION!

Every time Xbox has an L, you can expect within the next few days Sony has another L. Pretty big L here, taking away a franchise cows very proudly beat their chests over. Sony wasn’t kidding when they said more of their games would go to PC, even day and date, I just don’t think anyone expected it to be Final Fantasy. One more checkmark in the “why own a PS anymore” column.

@Antwan3K: imagine coping so hard that you’re going to compare data that doesn’t exist. “Well the truth would be different if Xbox didn’t own ABK.” Oh…k? But they do? So…? The world we live in now is one in which MS owns ABK. The financials don’t change because fanboys are upset.

If it comes to Xbox, I’ll dive in again. I played it for about 6 hours on my PS and haven’t even turned my PS on since then. I just can’t be bothered to play PS anymore. I’ll gladly pay for it again if I can play it on Xbox though.

Another Sony fumble. Xbox has the Fallout games on GP and the “next gen” update is there too. No upgrade fee necessary. Oh, and Fallout 3 and New Vegas have FPS Boost, PlayStation doesn’t. Once again, Xbox gets the best versions, best backwards compatibility. “But…but…Sony sells more consoles!”

Xbox hardware sales continue to slide, nothing new.

Xbox content, services, and overall gaming revenue is massively up. So their plan worked. Buying ABK was a success.

I’m seeing Cows all over Twitter coping about “but…but…that’s only because of ABK!” And? MS owns ABK now. You gonna cry about ABK every quarter? Boycott ABK if you don’t want to put money in MS’ pocket. Stop buying COD, stop buying COD microtransactions. It’s not Xbox’s fault your Bungie purchase was a flop and you guys keep closing studios.
