Um ... its free for one year. Then you need to pay. The issue is that if Sony has a problem with there secruity, the solution should not be, limited to one year but should just be free.

On a second poiint, I am in NL and the mail is dated 9th of august 2011

Here is a link to the ducth email: http://newsletters.eu.playstation.com/August2011/CSIIP-V-190711-AVCE/web_nl_NL.html?WT.mc_id=EMAIL_121333&DCSext.EmailLink=EMAIL-HTML-weblnk-nl_NL-121333

I got a mail from Sony stating that Sony has partnered with CSIdentity.

They offer extra security for Playstation network users.

Special offer is that we as loyal customers may use this service for free for one year.

I cannot believe that they are pulling a stunt like this.

Basically what I am reading is that they have violated the trust of their customers, have found a security solution that any respectable company should offer their clients in the basic service offering and they want us as a customer to pay for it.

Ridiculous.
