Miami. An open-world game at Miami should be fantastic, and it is in this game. The city is very detailed and beautiful, full of casinos, hotels and more. There are the islands, a part of the map you only unlock later. You begin in Little Havana, and after you take out the city, you go for the islands to shatter the last resistance against you.
Overral the map is big, altough not as big as GTA:SA. And about San Andreas, this game is far from being a copy of it. In fact, its much more innovative, featuring loads of new things that were later used at other games:
The drug dealing system is great, the main effective way to make money. Initially, you sell to people on the street, but later, it evolves to a large coke traffic system, where you have warehouses. With this you buy the hotels, casinos, restaurants, shops, stores... But altough you pay then you still have to do then a favor, and by favor i mean execute someone. After you own the place, you must contract henchmen to protect the place or the rival gangs will eventually ka-bom the place. Well, the henchmen system is very smart, but you even can contract then to help you in missions and in gang attacks, adding more realism to the gang wars.
When you finish selling your drug, you must launder the money because if you die with dirty money you lose it all. When you launder money, sell drugs and all that stuff, theres a bar at the botton of the screen. You have to press the button and release it at the right time to convince cops nothing happened and do the stuffs I said earlier. This is a good thing, because requires more ability then just pressing a button.
Lots of those things were later used in other games, such as GTA IV, where you can call people to help you in firefights, you sell drugs...
Scarface features some nice graphics and a good voice acting. The police chases are different but bad, because you gotta escape in some time or you die when this time ends.
The games aiming system is adds lots of possibilities. You aim with the left trigger and then adjust it the way you want by moving the right stick. Its a smart and cool system, that was used in GTA IV later.
In the end, Scarface: The World Is Yours is not a must-have because of its story or because the movie fans will love it. Its a must have because its innovative in a genre that doesnt really change for years.
