Sony's success is just too much for certain people to handle. Forbidden West, GT 7, Uncharted 4 Definitive Edition, Elden Ring, all in one month. I can understand the jelly, I truly do.

That 48fps is the worst case scenario that would buckle most systems. Surprisingly, the game is native 4K 60 when you're not assaulting the screen with 20 cars and full resolution spray. So I can see them probably throwing in a patch for a lower resolution/120hz mode later. 240 though? Maybe with a pro model at checkerboard 1080p lol.

Imagine not having VRR in 2022. LOL. Meanwhile, PC has had VRR since 2013, and Xbox added it last-gen in the refresh consoles. WTF is Sony doing?
Gonna have to pass for a year or two. GT Sport was the most boring game I played last gen and let’s be honest, Forza is better. There’s just too many other titles on my PS5 I wanna play right now than this. I’ll let the updates hit and price drop.

@davillain: GT7 is a simulation whereas FH5 is an arcade racer, and generally speaking arcade racers always score higher for appealing to a wider audience.

I'm aware they are apple/orange, just me having a little fun with this thread. Adding more fuel for the fire in a sense.
but anyway, GT has always been grounded racing sim and I really wish we get a new Forza Motorsports to compare the two but yeah, comparing Forza Horizon 5 isn't a fair game as that game is more arcady indeed. All in all, they're both great racing games.
I don't like racing games and haven't bought one in over 10 years, but this one looks like the kind of racing titles i would play. But Sony is too damn stupid to release it anywhere near Elden Ring. No way i am buying this when the latest thing i did in Elden Ring is kill Godric, so i have the whole game in front of me.
So far so good. It's GT Sport but with a full fledged campaign now. I have finished 3 campaign menus so far and my License B test. Graphically, it's pretty much the same as GT Sport. Looks good, but not mind blowing. I am playing the game in the graphics mode instead of performance mode. 4K with HDR on my PS5. Seems like PD was focusing more on performance vs. graphics, which is smart.
If you like GT, you will like this. I love GT games, so this was a no brainer.

The 48 frame rate cited was a STRESS TEST. They made it a specific point to load the track with 20 cars, altered the lighting to a demanding time of day, added severe weather in addition to particle effects. This isn’t even close to being indicative of normal performance, but I think you know that Bass.

It is not nonsense. You get a shit frame rate while playing under those conditions. The game should be 60fps in all conditions. Like I said, they can use DRS or scale back some of the effects, but at the end of the day it is not optimized for those conditions. Hopefully it gets patched to fix it. A PC release can also solve any shortcomings of the PS5 hardware. ;)
Sucks that the game isn’t even on the disc and you have to download 10GB to play and 90GB for the full game. With my moderate internet speed I should be able to play the full game in a day or two.
Not a deal breaker though with moderate or higher internet.
